RAF07: Tsarukyan Finally Gets His Hand Raised; Covington Bests Danis

RAF’s seventh event returned to Florida with an electrifying showcase across all levels at Tampa’s Yuengling Center

Tampa, FL (March 28, 2026) – Real American Freestyle (RAF), the premier destination for the best wrestlers in the world, held its seventh event, RAF07, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL. With co-founders Chad Bronstein, Izzy Martinez and Eric Bischoff, Real American Freestyle put on a fun-filled show for the fans in Florida. RAF07 streamed exclusively on FOX Nation with support from partners Spartans, Real American Beer, Takedown and Novartis.

Johnni DiJulius kicked off the night with a tightly contested 9-6 win in 3 rounds despite crowd favorite and owner of Tampa’s own Beebe Trained, Conor Beebe, making a late charge

  • 2025 Senior World Champion Trent Hidlay impressed with a 12-0 win via tech fall early in the second round versus Pat Downey

  • Jason Nolf quickly wrestled to a 10-0 victory in one round versus late fill-in and rising MMA star David Mistulov

  • 19-year-old Aeoden Sinclair followed up his NCAA All-American season going the distance for a technical 9-4 win over Khidir Saipudinov

  • High-school standout Bo “Machine Gun” Bassett showed his class with a 13-3 second round finish of Olympic champion Vladimer Khinchegashvili

  • Wyatt “Captain America” Hendrickson retained his undisputed RAF Heavy Champion belt with a controlled 6-2 win over fellow team USA wrestler Trent Hillger

  • In the second title match of the night, Kennedy Blades defended her RAF Middleweight belt with ease, finishing the bout with an 11-0 tech fall against Milana Dudieva

  • For the new RAF Light Heavyweight Championship, an out-and-out rivalry had its latest episode where Kyle Snyder scored a late round push out against reigning Olympic champion Akhmed Tazhudinov in a 3-3 last-point-scored tiebreaker.

  • The RAF Cruiserweight Championship match saw budding challenger Parker Keckeisen take on internationally acclaimed American and current champion Kyle “Kid Dynamite” Dake. Dake retained his championship, solidifying his 7-1 in the final round.

  • Colby Covington held off Dillon Danis’s impressive pro freestyle debut after a stalemate first round, finishing the bout 14-4.

  • Arman Tsarukyan finally got his takedown in suspenseful fashion, icing the bout against Georgio Poullas and putting the score at 9-3 with less than a minute left.

Early into the card, phenom Bo Bassett took over versus his opponent, going on to fearlessly call out the legendary Henry Cejudo who will be headlining RAF08 next month in Philadelphia versus Merab Dvalishvili.

After the first title defense of the night, RAF Heavyweight Champion Wyatt Hendrickson was prompted by Chael Sonnen to challenge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’s all-pro lineman and former high school state wrestling Champion, Tristan Wirfs to return to the mat for a future RAF event. Wirfs playfully accepted and faced off with Hendrickson in front of an amped-up crowd.

Towards the end of the night, Colby Covington called out fellow former UFC Champion and MMA icon Chris Weidman as an opponent of choice in an upcoming RAF match night. Soon after, Arman Tsarukyan returned a callout Colby’s way, with the banter continuing to the press conference. Here, Chad Bronstein explained both wrestlers were under multi-match contracts, confirming the match was possible for future RAF events.  The RAF festivities ended with a successful debut of the RAF07 clinic, where young wrestlers trained directly with athletes, including RAF Cruiserweight Champion Kyle Dake.

The next Real American Freestyle event, RAF08, will be held on April 18 at Philadelphia's Liacouras Center. In addition to Cejudo vs Dvalishvili, the confirmed matches can be found here, including returning wrestlers Urijah Faber, Cayden Henschel, Helen Maroulis, Real Woods and Jordan Oliver. More bouts will be announced in the coming weeks.

In partnership with the UFC, USA Wrestling, NIL organizations and the NCAA, athletes can compete regardless of status, creating meaningful opportunities for wrestlers at both the emerging and elite levels of their careers. Members of the Real American Freestyle roster benefit from access to world-class production, promotion and storytelling, while also competing for championship purses and performance bonuses in full compliance with NCAA regulations.
