Charleston, SC — Major League Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling today announced Satoshi Kojima as a participant at MLW & NJPW Presents CMLL FANTASTICA MANIA USA 2026, fueled by Danny McBride’s Don Gato Tequila heads to Festival Hall on Sunday, April 12. Major League Wrestling returns to its home town of Charleston, SC on April 12 with a special international showcase as MLW x NJPW presents CMLL Fantastica Mania USA—featuring the return of one of the most important figures in league history: Satoshi Kojima.
A cornerstone of Major League Wrestling since its earliest days, Kojima is widely regarded as one of the greatest World Heavyweight Champions in league history. He holds a distinction no one else can claim: being the only two-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion. From setting the standard as the very first champion in 2002 to returning decades later to once again capture gold, Kojima’s legacy is etched across multiple eras of MLW.
A true founding father of Major League Wrestling, Kojima helped define the league’s identity with his hard-hitting style, unshakable fighting spirit, and championship pedigree. His influence spans generations, bridging the past and present as few competitors ever have.
This marks Kojima’s debut in the historic “Holy City”, and the Japanese legend has already begun scouting local hotspots – particularly those known for their biscuits -as he looks forward to experiencing the culture and cuisine firsthand along with fellow members of the Bread Club.
