Spotlight Match: All In Bayno vs Steven Stetson
FROM THE MAIN EVENT TO THE SPOTLIGHT. Worcester loves to see it. Bayno frustrates Stetson early but angry embarrassed Stetson digs down and uncorks the Northern Jersey Lariat for the three.
Match 1: Christian Darling vs Sammy Diaz
No Brother Greatness or Mani Ariez in Sammy corner tonight. Darling is full of swagger and beating the hellllllll out of Sammy. Diaz is kicking out and frustrating this dweeeeeb. Sammy with a sudden comeback at the ten minute mark and nearly takes it with a springboard cutter….Darling with a high angle uranage out of the blue…Diaz kicks out! Sammy coming back again but Darling rolls him up and grabs the tights to get the three. Good match but booooooo!
It’s time for the Tag Team Championship Celebration! Love Doug and Brad Hollister out here to party to “Time of my Life”. Doug talks about how personally hard this was to get through…and cue BRG & Oxx Adams to mock them. BRG predicts easy wins for himself and Oxx on Sunday. He’s so confident that he thinks they deserve shots at the tag titles. Doug says yes…but BRG has to call it “a date”. He really hates this but acquiesces. Doug says the date is locked…but they also have a date for them tonight! We have a 6-man tag for later in the night!
Match 2: Sammi Chaos & Amity Lavey vs Kylie Alexa & Liviyah
This is considered a “random draw” tag match for this Sunday’s WWR+ show…but I think Liviyah is in danger right now. Kylie is immediately scared off by Amity and runs for the tag. This is kind of a match made in hell. Sammi in and gives Liv a beating. She throws Liv into Kylie, knocking her from the apron…of course Kylie blames her partner. To her credit, Alexa really tries rallying Liv to the corner…but she’s not doing anything to HELP her situation. And when Liv goes to make the tag? Kylie jumps off the corner and lets Sammi his a saito suplex for the three. Kylie tells Liv that her days at Wrestling Open are numbered.
It’s Stetson Ranch time…and Steven is here to blame Danny Miles for their title loss. He says Miles needs to prove his worth to stay on the ranch. What’s Danny’s answer? He says he’s gonna take Bobby Casale under his wing, show him how to be a real enforcer and he’s gonna do it FOR THE RANCH. Steve…seems satisfied with Miles’ devotion for now.
Match 3: Danny Miles (w/ Steven Stetson) vs Bobby Buffet
Buffet is easily overpowering Miles early. It doesn’t last as Miles starts attacking Bobby legs and just wearing the big man down. But Bobby IS a big man and Danny’s attempt to slam him backfires. Stetson is…NOT being a supportive leader at ringside right now. Bobby on a roll again but the damage Danny did to the leg catches up with him. But Miles can’t capitalize and runs right into a short spear. Danny with a gutbuster but Bobby’s armor is thick. Stetson up on the apron to yell at Danny. Buffet shoves Miles into Stetson and rolls Danny up for the three! oh my god!!!
Miles is shocked. Stetson is in the ring and shoving his finger in Danny’s chest. He SHOVES HIM! Danny takes that in and shoves Stetson to the floor. Danny walks out on him! Stetson is shocked and sad and alone! Yay!
Match 4: Tyree Taylor vs Ray Jaz
Taylor is looking for revenge after Jaz cost him in the contender tournament finals. Jaz tries for some early takedowns but Tyree is big mad and looks to torture the Jersey legend. He smashes him into the apron, the post, chops him all around the ring. Ray trying to fight back but isn’t gaining much ground. Tyree makes sure they don’t get counted out and ref Bill makes sure he’s counting slow. Tyree tries to get it back in the ring and that’s when Jaz drops an elbow to the back of the head. Jaz swarms with chokes and tries to tie Taylor up in holds….Tyree backpacks him and gets free quickly. A pounce hits hard. Tyree throws Jaz from the top rope. Jaz with a judo toss and tries for an armbar as we have a minute left! He goes for the Brooklyn Zoo bomb but Jaz grabs the rope and intentionally forces the time limit draw.
Ray asks if we want five more minutes? We do. He says he won’t give us what we want even if it was our dying wish. Next time they fight? It can be no time limit because the Jaz tip of the day? We can kiss his a**.
The screens set up the Wrestling Open title match but Fancy Ryan Clancy is out here in his normal clothes….why. He says that he’s dealing with a “slight knee injury” so lucky for Joseph Alexander. But A-Game wants a match and Clancy gets to pick his opponent. This tracks for Clancy. And who did he pick? DJ POWERS.
Match 5: A-Game Joseph Alexander vs DJ Powers (w/ Fancy Ryan Clancy)
I hope that Ryan Clancy knows that by b****ing out of this match, he cost me a DnA’s sponsorship mention. The match ALMOST goes the time limit. Alexander and Powers have a GOOD match going back and forth…Alexander finally hits a corkscrew Samoan drop and gets the three while staring daggers through Clancy. He tells Ryan to go get healthy and get back here so he can win that title. Clancy seems like he’s gonna try and back out of this obligation.
Match 6: Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn) vs Rain Conway & Julius Draeger
Conway accidentally reminds everyone that we used to call a Draeger a Lorax. The match is precisely what Worcester wants: Waves & Curls running wild on both of these clowns. Conway gets caught up in the magic of dance before Draeger snaps him back to reality. Trae gets beat down for a bit. They stay on the attack butnTraevin double suplexes them and gets to Jaelyn. Brandyn taking care of business. Draeger tries to roll him up but Jordan tags in and sets up the wave check for the win!
Main Event: Big Business (Love Doug & Big Bacon Brad Hollister) & Erik Chacha vs Simply the Best (BRG & Oxx Adams) & 23 Hazard
Hazard is the only friend BRG could find. This sounds right. Chacha gets put in the line of fire early. He eats a HUGE beatdown before Bacon gets in to equalize. But Oxx cuts this off with a huge chokeslam. Doug gets in there and is doing great till Hazard forearms him from behind. Chacha in hot and throwing kicks until Oxx stops that. Big Business clotheslines Adams out of the ring but Hazard and BRG eject the tag champs, leaving Chacha to eat a swinging neckbreaker for the win. Booooooo! Simply the Best have officially earned themselves a tag title shot next week. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!
