Randy Orton - are fans going to boo him? They're chanting, saying "one more time" after he attacks Matt Cardona. I know WWE likes to direct and influence fan reactions, but can they get it done in this case?
As Mike Eps and I talked about on Saturday, it’s going to be tough. Stamford has a Randy Orton problem. His attacks have been vicious and heinous…..and the crowds love it. He has gotten to the point where the fans don’t want to boo him. So far, they are totally on board with him doing what he has to do to get number 15. It won’t be easy to get them to turn on him and at this point, maybe they should just stop trying and let the fans do what they will do.
Tag Title change - this is no slight to Priest & Truth, but do they even care anymore about the tag titles? This is such a far cry from The Usos main eventing WM Night 1 against Owens & Zayn a couple of years ago.
I think it’s a byproduct of the bad booking first with all of the teams that are great in-ring but not seen as top stars going for the belts a few months ago and then the belts being part of the insipid MFTs-Wyatts feud. Hopefully that will change because the Smackdown team has done a bad job this year making their tag belts seem important. At least Truth and Priest winning was a fun moment. Hopefully they can play off of that.
McIntyre/Fatu - they're doing everything possible to heat this up, but for me, they've taken a lot of the shine off of Jacob and his aura of "avoid this guy at all costs" has really been diminished. How do you guys feel and is the real story Drew vs. Aldis?
Here’s the thing, at some point almost every wrestler will meet someone that is their equal and at that point, it’s two guys in a fight. Drew is definitely Jacob’s equal and also a man to avoid, so I am good with what they are doing. After them falling off of the building, it has to be Jacob-Drew at Mania and it should be inside Hell In The Cell because their feud has escalated to that point.
I know he just recently arrived, but I imagine Danhausen will have a role at WM. What do you guys see him doing?
I would totally expect him to be there. I guess they could have him as the host, but that would probably be too much. So, I expect him to do Danhausen things.
Jade's new "stable". Do you see this as a permanent thing or just an obstacle for Rhea to deal with until WM?
I would hope that it’s being done to give B Fab and Michin a chance to get a better push. It would suck if they were just used for a month and then discarded.
