AAA Rey de Reyes Week Two from Puebla, Mexico.
Corey Graves, JBL and Rey Mysterio are the announcing team.
They recap last week.
Rey Fenix & Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. Money Machine & La Hiedra
The match starts fast with Rey Fenix showcasing his agility against Oro in a rope-running exchange. The momentum shifts quickly as Lola Vice and La Hiedra get involved, followed by Mr. Iguana bringing his unique offense. The match breaks down into chaos, with both teams trading signature offense. Hiedra briefly gains control with a Stunner and Downward Spiral but loses focus, allowing the babyfaces to capitalize. Fenix ultimately takes over with a flurry of kicks and a super inverted Spanish Fly. After dives to the outside from Vice and Iguana, Fenix finishes Oro with the Fenix Driver and scores the pinfall.
Your winners, Rey Fenix & Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana!
This had a lot of energy and was a fun opening bout.
Chelsea Green shows up, complaining she and Ethan Page never lost the Mixed Tag Team belts and she demands to be recognized as the true champion.
AAA Tag Team Champions Psycho Clown & Pagano vs. The War Raiders.
They brawled immediately. The War Raiders use their size advantage early, isolating Psycho Clown. Pagano fought back with bursts of offense including an Air Raid Crash. The Raiders maintain their offense advantage with power moves. Psycho Clown mounts a comeback and everyone battles. Pagano accidentally nailed his partner. It keeps getting heated and the referee steps in between them and gets shoved down by both teams.
Double DQ.
Really wonderful physicality but no real finish, so this felt more like the angle to start a story. We'll see if we get some hardcore rules rematches. Security gets between them.
Dorian Roldan talks to El Hijo del Vikingo backstage, suggesting he chase Dom for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
The final segment is El Grande Americano coming out for his ceremonial sword presentation after winning last week. Previous winners, including Chessman and Cibernetico are in attendance. Americano gives a promo, putting over pride in Mexico, lucha libre and the importance of representing Mexico. Dominik Mysterio comes out and challenges him, saying they can have their title match right now, but before anything can truly happen El Grande Americano Original attacks Americano, ripping at the mask and trying to expose his identity. Bravo and Rayo make the save but Americano escapes, stealing the sword in the process. Good angle to close the show.
