ESPN is reporting that WWE will induct NBA star Dennis Rodman into the WWE Hall of Fame next month in Las Vegas.
Rodman made a number of appearances for WCW, teaming with the late Hulk Hogan. Rodman was at the height of his NBA stardom at the time and Rodman blowing off a practice to appear on WCW programming was a huge mainstream story when it happened. At Bash at the Beach 1997, Rodman and Hogan teamed in a loss to Lex Luger and The Giant (Big Show) with Rodman's performance being well received. The following year, his performance was nowhere near well received as he and Hogan teamed against Diamond Dallas Page and NBA star Karl Malone. That bout also garnered a lot of attention after Rodman and Malone got into a quick skirmish during an NBA game in the run up to the bout. Rodman also wrestled against Randy Savage at the 1999 Road Wild PPV.
Post-WCW, he toured Australia in 2000 for iGenerational Wrestling, wrestling Curt Hennig in several bouts, including an event that aired on PPV here in The United States.
Rodman also won the first and only season of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT.
