The Rock's film The Smashing Machine failed to win the only Academy Award it was nominated for tonight, Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling.
The film's Kazu Hiro, Glen Griffin, and Bjoern Rehbein were nominated but lost the award to Frankenstein's Mike Hill, Jordan Samuel, and Cliona Furey.
