3/14 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision was recorded after Dynamite Wednesday night at the San Jose Civic Center in San Jose, CA. The commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Kevin Knight w/Speedball Mike Bailey vs El Clon

Knight dodges a kick and lays in strikes to start the match. Clon shoulder tackles Knight and they reset. Knight gets an arm drag off the top rope. Clon slides to the floor and when Knight follows, he gets caught in the ring apron. Clon and Knight trade chops on the floor and Knight rolls Clon into the ring, and rebounds out and hits a suplex on Clon.

Knight is rolled into the ring and Clon lays in boots and then grabs a leg bar. Knight gets to the bottom rope for the break and Clon stomps him again. They fight in the ropes, but Knight is able to get a sky-high power bomb. Both men are down and take time to recover. Knight lays in a series of forearms and then gets a leaping clothesline. Knight gets a tilt a whirl slam and a UFO splash for two.

Clon goes to the floor and Knight leaps the turnbuckles for a splash on Clon as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Knight comes off the ropes into a tilt a whirl backbreaker from Clon for two. Clon staggers Knight with a forearm, Knight misses a clothesline and gets a Pele kick. Knight rolls to the floor and Clon goes to the apron where he gets a pair of kicks and then a moonsault off the apron onto Knight. Knight is rolled into the ring and gets a moonsault from running up the ropes for two.

Clon goes to the top and Knight meets him there. They battle on the top and Clon shoves Knight to the mat. Knight leaps to the top for an avalanche suplex. After they recover, they trade forearms. Clon gets a rollup for two, a second rollup for two, and then a small package for two.

Knight gets a drop-kick to separate and then Clon gets a power bomb for two. Knight escapes a slam by turning it into a small package for two. Knight gets a backslide for two. They fight through the ropes and Knight gets a springboard clothesline from the top rope. Knight goes to the top for the UFO splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kevin Knight

Next is a hype video for the Trios Title Match at Revolution tomorrow night.

Komander vs Mark Davis

They lock up and Davis is a head taller than Komander. Davis tosses Komander to the corner. Davis then picks up Komander and tosses him again. Komander lays in kicks and then tries for a tijeras, but Davis blocks it and drops him to the mat. Komander grabs the wrist and kicks Davis’s head. Komander tried for a multi rope leap hurricanrana to no avail. Davis tosses Komander into the buckles. Komander springs off the top rope and gets his tijeras.

Davis rolls to the floor. Komander dives onto him. When Davis gets on the apron, Komander gets a kick and tries for a sunset flip, but Davis just drops on Komander as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Davis slams Komander and misses a senton. Komander gets a flurry of kicks followed by flying forearms and a kick to Davis’s leg. Komander gets a shotgun drop-kick from the top and Davis rolls to the floor for a break. Komander runs up the ropes and hits a moonsault from the top onto Davis on the floor. Davis is rolled into the ring and Komander covers for one, as Davis tosses him off.

Davis avoids a charge from Komander and gets a running elbow into Komander. Komander lays in a chop and Davis chops him down. Komander gets a series of quick kicks and pulls Davis down. Davis hits a back suplex for two. Davis puts Komander into the corner and charges, and Komander gets a hurricanrana into the turnbuckles. They go to the top and Komander gets a big kick on Davis. Komander gets a sunset flip from the top for two.

Komander goes for a 450 from the top and Davis gets the knees up. Davis gets a lariat for two. Davis tries for a clothesline off the ropes, but Komander gets an octopus hold that Davis powers out of. Komander gets a tiger feint kick and goes to the top rope for a flip, and Davis avoids it. Davis hits an enzuigiri and ends the match with a tombstone piledriver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Mark Davis

This was a prolonged squash, and even though it lasted longer than it should, Komander’s being on defense most of the match did not give Davis the push of a squash.

We get a promo recorded after Dynamite where The Dogs say Roderick Strong has earned a spot on their hit list. We then go down the card for tomorrow night at Revolution as Tony has added a new trios match between The Dogs and The Conglomeration.

We get a hype video for Mascara Dorada who will be in the main event tonight against Andrade El Idolo.

There is a hype video for the 21 man battle royal tomorrow night with short promos.

Triangle Of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue) vs the Already In The Ring Viva Van, Tatevik, and Charisma

Charisma takes a spear from Thekla within 90 seconds so that Thekla gets the pin and the win.

Winners: The Triangle of Madness

Thekla has a mic and is sick and tired of hearing about Kris Statlander, who made a challenge and then ran and hid. She is scared of Thekla. On Sunday, at Revolution, Kris can’t run. This brings out Kris who takes out Skye Blue, Julia Hart and then clotheslines Thekla in the ring. Kris pulls off her belt and Thekla begs off. Kris then throws the belt at Thekla and turns around to allow Thekla to attack. Thekla lays in a blow and Kris takes it. The second takes Kris to her knee and then gets back up. Thekla lays in a series of blows, beating her to the mat.

And Kris stands back up. Thekla then just beats her down and wraps the belt around her fist for more blows.

When Thekla walks away, Kris says she doesn’t want Thekla to be afraid of her, she wants Thekla to be afraid of what she will have to do to keep Kris down.

Up next is a promo from Marina Shafir and says she was given advice from Toni Storm to stay in her lane and do what she does best. Now, she says Toni is driving into dangerous territory, and because of Toni's advice, she is one of one and she will beat Toni until no one can recognize her.

The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Leona, Bishop Kaun) vs The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Ace Austin)

Ace and Ricochet start the match and Kaun is tagged in before the lockup. Lots of chants for the Bang Bang Gang, even though they haven’t been on TV for a while. Ace knocks Ricochet off the apron with a drop-kick when he tries to sneak into the ring. Ace gets a side headlock, but is shot off into the corner when Kaun charges into him and then shoulder tackles him down. Ace gets a rollup for one. Ace gets an arm drag into a tijeras. He gets an elbow in the corner and trips Kaun. Ace gets another rollup for one and then a drop-kick.

Ace gets a leg drop and Kaun gets a couple of chops to cut Ace off. Ace gets a chop himself and whips Kaun to his corner where Austin tags in. Austin trips Kaun and hits a series of jabs. Ricochet gets into the ring and Austin nails him with a series of jabs. Austin nails Kaun and then hits a flatliner on Ricochet. Toa gets into the ring and Austin slides to his corner and Juice tags in.

Toa holds the ropes for Juice, who leaps over the top rope instead and backs across the ring, flipping Toa off. They lock up and Juice is shoved to the corner. Juice dodges a grab and slaps Toa. Toa yells at Juice, and Juice yells back. He tries a cross body and gets caught. Juice escapes out the back and causes Toa to go to the floor with a low bridge. Juice leaps onto The Demand, and they catch him. Ace then dives onto them as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, the Gang kept Toa in their corner to work him over, but he has withstood all of their attacks and turned Ace into the babyface in peril. Ace is finally able to escape out the back when picked up by Kaun, and Juice gets the hot tag and runs wild. And with Juice you know he does every part of the WILD part of running wild.

Austin is tagged in when all of The Demand is down. Austin and Juice get a double team slam on Ricochet for two, broken up by Kaun. Toa and Kaun work over Austin in the corner with charges. They hit Final Rites on Austin and Ricochet gets a springboard splash for two. Kaun is tagged in and the Bang Bang Gang all attack Toa and it’s time for everyone to take out the last person in the ring.

Austin gets a Famouser on Kaun for two, broken up by Ricochet, who then pulls Kaun onto Austin for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Demand.

The Demand beat down the Bang Bang Gang after the match and Ricochet grabs a mic. Ricochet says that he has to defend his title in a 21-man battle royal, and the company is doing everything they can to sabotage his title reign. He says no matter how long the crowd boos (because they are REALLY loud) it doesn’t matter how many people are in the match because he is the only one who matters. No matter if Tony Khan likes it or not, he will retain the title.

We get a promo from Toni Storm about how the circus is no longer a happy place. And the animals in the circus think they are fierce, but they all bow when they hear the whip, and it all ends the same way. Someone is left laying in the sawdust and Marina is a performer in Circus Timeless.

Lena Cross vs Mina Shirakawa

Cross is a head taller than Mina, and Mina stomps on her foot to grab a headlock. Cross shoots her to the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Mina grabs another headlock and Cross does the same thing. Mina grabs another headlock and ducks the shoulder block and does her slide, which allows Cross to pick her up. Mina trips her into the corner. Mina comes off the ropes and Cross grabs and slams her.

Cross puts a foot on Mina’s chest for a two count. Mina and Cross exchange forearms, but Cross drops her. Mina gets a series of kicks and sends Cross to the floor with a low bridge. Mina goes to the top and Cross gets out of the way. Mina tries for a kick from the apron and Cross grabs and slams her into the apron as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Cross runs into a big boot from Mina and Mina presses the advantage with strikes and kicks. Mina gets a spinning takedown and follows with a drop-kick with Cross on her knees. Cross rolls to the floor and Mina gets a cross body from the top turnbuckle. Mina rolls Cross into the ring and then gets a dragon screw in the ropes on Cross. Mina gets a leaping tornado over the top for two.

Mina tries for a figure four, but Cross kicks her off. Cross gets a question mark kick. Mina and Cross trade strikes, and Cross ends it with a pump kick followed by a pickup. Mina escapes out the back and Cross powers out of the Glamorous Driver. Mina gets a spinning back fist and goes to the top. Mina gets a sling blade from the top for two. Mina goes for a figure four and Cross grabs her and launches Mina with a German suplex.

Mina runs into a big boot and Cross gets a jackhammer for the pin and the win.

Winner: Lena Cross

Máscara Dorada vs Andrade El Idolo

Don Callis joins commentary with Lance Archer as his bodyguard.

Mascara calls for a handshake, which is a waste of time. They lock up and Andrade gets a snap arm drag. Andrade poses for the crowd and Mascara gets a rollup for two and then a hurricanrana for two. Andrade gets a shoulder tackle to stop Mascara. Andrade chops Mascara back to the mat. They run the ropes and they trade waistlocks. Mascara flips off the ropes and Andrade takes the tranquilo pose in the ropes.

They run the ropes again and Mascara gets a leaping tijeras, which sends Andrade to the floor. Mascara goes to the top and Andrade knocks his legs out from under him. Andrade kisses the hand of a woman at ringside and does the selfie bit. Andrade then gets a running kick on Mascara on the floor. Mascara is rolled into the ring and Andrade hits a tilt a whirl backbreaker for two.

Mascara is able to turn another tilt a whirl into a cross body slam. Mascara knocks Andrade to the floor and then gets a tijeras from the ring to the floor. Andrade is rolled into the ring and Mascara goes to the top, but Andrade rolls to the apron, where Mascara hits a DDT. Mascara goes for a springboard moonsault, but Andrade gets a moonsault as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Mascara elbows his way out of a hold and Andrade drops him back down. Mascara gets a pop-up drop-kick when Andrade tries to slam him. Mascara gets a boot up in the corner when Andrade charges. Mascara gets a springboard hurricanrana. Mascara gets a tijeras when working out of being caught by Andrade. Mascara gets a sunset flip for two.

Mascara gets a thrust kick and then pulls up Andrade who gets a three amigos series of suplexes for two. Andrade goes to the top and Mascara gets a kick in the corner and then leaps onto Andrade and they are both on top. Mascara gets an avalanche hurricanrana for two. Andrade rolls to the floor and Mascara hits a tornado dive on him. Andrade is rolled into the ring and Mascara goes to the top and hits a 450 for two.

Andrade calls for a slap fight on his knees and they go back and forth. They work to their feet, going back and forth. Mascara goes to the second rope and Andrade meets him there for a Spanish Fly for two. Andrade gets a double knee charge in the corner for two. Mascara gets a rollup escaping the DM for two. Mascara gets a mule kick and then puts Andrade in the corner. Mascara hits a springboard leaping poisonrana.

That was an amazing move.

Mascara goes to the top and Andrade rolls to the apron. They fight in the corner and Andrade goes to the top and Andrade gets a hammerlock slam of Mascara’s head into the top turnbuckle. He follows with the DM for the pin and the win.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo

Bandido starts on his way to the ring and Roppongi Vice attacks him. Brody King comes in for the save which brings out Swerve Strickland. Bandido starts to get in the ring and Roppongi Vice beats down Bandido. Bandido is able to send them out of the ring and to the floor as Andrade stays in the crowd with the woman he got the selfie with during the match and we are desperately out of time!
