Pat McAfee took part in a Q&A on his Instagram Stories over the weekend and when asked about when he would return to WWE commentary, responded, " Will I be returning to the WWE? In the future...I don't think you ever say never, especially with WWE, but right now it does not feel like it is something it's supposed to have. It doesn't feel like, it feels like that business has passed me by a little bit. I grew up loving it dream to work and it feel honored that I had the opportunity to work alongside the GOAT, Michael Cole, but I feel like it'd be in a good spot without me, and I'll continue to watch."
I can tell you WWE management always loved having McAfee involved and I'd never discount that they'd be happy to have him in any role he's willing to do.
Logan Paul spent the better part of the last few days challenging football players to boxing matches. After agreeing to several fights, Paul later announced WWE told him he couldn't take part. No word whether he was trolling online or there was ever an actual chance of him planning to go through with the fights:
