3/6 NJPW 45th ANNIVERSARY SHOW RESULTS

Ota City Gym, Tokyo, Japan:

1 - Yuya Uemura and Masatora Yasuda vs. Drilla Moloney and Daiki Nagai

Moloney hits the Drilla Killa on Yasuda and gets the pin.

2 - Boltin Oleg, Hirooki Goto, Toru Yano and Tatsuya Matsumoto vs. HENARE, Great O-Khan, Francesco Akira and Jakob Austin Young

Akira forces Matsumoto to tap out to the Ground Tarantula.

HENARE and Oleg have a wild brawl after the match.   They will meet in the Round 2 of the New Japan Cup.

3 - Yuto-Ice and Gedo vs. Ryohei Oiwa and Zack Sabre Jr.

ZSJ reverses out of a Gedo Clutch and rolls Gedo over into a Cradle with bridge.   ZSJ pins Gedo.

4 -  Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji vs. Don Fale and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Tsuji hits a Gene Blaster on Kanemaru and gets the pin.

5 - Satoshi Kojima, Shota Umino, Aaron Wolf, LEONA and Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita and Chase Owens

Fujinami is 72 years old.  House of Torture bumped hard for him.   It is amazing he is in the ring right now.

Takahashi pins LEONA after hitting Pimp Juice.

NEW JAPAN CUP 2026 Matches:

6 - Jake Lee vs. YOSHI-HASHI

Lee applies the Dragon Sleeper and YOSHI-HASHI passes out.

Jake Lee advances to Round 2 to face Hirooki Goto.

7 - OSKAR vs. Callum Newman

Newman took some wicked bumps as OSKAR tossed him around the ring and into the first four rows of chairs at ringside.   Referee took a bump to the floor.  OSKAR locked in the Nightmare Sleeper.   Newman tapped out but the referee did not see it.   Newman hit Excalibur twice on OSKAR.   Zane Jay at ringside throws the referee in the ring.

Newman pins OSKAR

Callum Newman advances to face Hartley Jackson in Round 2.

After the match, Newman and Jay were in the ring and Yuto-Ice comes to save his partner.   United Empire retreats.

8 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship:   Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles vs. Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X

Good match.   Ishimori and Robbie X hit a Double Bloody Cross.   Ishimori takes out Eagles with a kick and moonsault on the floor.  Robbie X hits the X Express on Fujita.   Robbie X pins Fujita.

Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

Good win for Robbie X, who has been in New Japan for over a year and now wins his first Title.

After the match, Francesco Akira and Jakob Austin Young attack the new champions.  Akira puts a chair around the neck of Robbie X.   Akira tells the crowd that he is going to do what he planned to do to Hiromu in Osaka.    He hits the chair with another chair, trying to injure Robbie X's neck.   

9 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship:  DOUKI vs. Master Wato

SHO comes to the ring dressed at DOUKI to trick everyone.    DOUKI attacks Wato from behind.   Wato goes for Vendaval early, but DOUKI gets to the ropes and they fight to the floor.   House of Torture is at ringside.  DOUKI and Wato fight back and forth.   Wato traps DOUKI in Vendaval.   SHO pulls the referee out of the ring and stomps on Wato.  YOH comes in to make the save.   Dick Togo, Yujiro Takahashi and SHO beat down YOH.   They hit a low blow on Wato.  DOUKI hits a modified neck breaker on Wato.   Two count.  Wato goes for Vendaval again.   Don Fale interferes.   Aaron Wolf and Toru Yano take out Fale.    Wato hits Recientemente on DOUKI but he cannot make the cover.   Wato hits a high kick to DOUKI's head.   Wato with a Slingblade.  Wato with a top rope uppercut.  Two count.  Wato blocks a low blow.  Wato hits Tsutenkaku.  Two count.  Wato goes for Recientemente again, but DOUKI escapes and kicks the referee out of the ring.     Wato blocks a Daybreak.   SHO low blows Wato.   DOUKI hits Daybreak.  Two count.   DOUKI with Suplex de La Luna.  

DOUKI pins Wato.

DOUKI retains the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

This was right decision.    DOUKI and House of Torture needs the title to stay an effective Heel Faction.   

After the match YOH comes to the ring wearing an EVIL T-shirt.   SHO tries to attack YOH, but YOH hits an STO on SHO.   YOH hits an STO on DOUKI.    YOH cuts a promo on DOUKI and declares himself the next challenger.

The New Japan Cup 2026 continues on March 8.
