Wrestling Open “Redemption”
2/26/25 Worcester, MA
Spotlight Match: Michael Solar vs Rain Conway
Solar makes a damn fool of Conway early, keeping him in full control. Rain rallies but Solar keeps knocking him down. Solar pulls the singlet straps down…but Rain reverses him, hits a Rainmaker and scores…I THINK???…his first solo pinfall victory. Conway looks SHOCKED and we HATE it.
DJ Powers is out here and says he’s gonna fix the one blemish on his record. DJ himself IS a blemish.
Match 1: DJ Powers vs Eye Black Jack
DJ has a pose off for the crowd’s reaction at the bell. Jack gets the bigger reaction…and Powers punches him with a fistful of chain. Powers is immediately DQ’d. Powers says this is how he’s taking care of the blemish. If the White Eagle is Jacks home, DJ owns it now.
Match 2: J-Spade vs Joseph Alexander
Spade has a boxer’s demeanor but A-Game has him seeing stars quickly. J uses a near collision with the ref to take advantage. He try to stretch Alexander for the tap. Joseph fights free, throwing hands. A couple of big Germans and a huge toss don’t get the W yet but it’s close. Spade with a torture rack gutbuster, shows that strength off! A-Game pops back up and a running knee strike puts the lights out! Joseph Alexander is ready for Jonathan Gresham tomorrow night!
Match 3: Jonathan Gresham vs Dustin Waller
A-Game is hanging around to watch this one. Dustin makes sure to shoulder check him on his way in. Arguably, Gresham has a hell of a test tonight…but this is a crazy cool match for Dusty. The opening is pure unexpected comedy. Dusty doesn’t want to engage. He finally does and nearly gases himself trying to hold a wristlock. Gresham gets Waller’s durag and gives it to Alexander. Then Gresham holds Dusty down to tickle him, as the crowd chants “Tickle Monster”. Like…Wrestling rules. The match turns real after Dusty decks Alexander. Gresham turns Dustin’s distraction attempt back on him with a solid nut tap. The Octopus starts wrapping Dustin up in painful positions and has such a dominant hold on him that he finds Dusty’s backup durag and holds him down while he takes over a minute to put the thing on. Dusty screaming that he’s stuck. This is gold. Dusty freed and takes over with a northern lariat and a running shooting star for two! Dusty gets his durag back. Gresham puts another one on…they have a mirror moment?!? Quick back and forth pin attempts. It goes wild until Gresham rolls back and bridges the pin for the three! This was a DELIGHT. I did not expect “comedy match of the night” out of this pairing.
Dusty goes to attack Gresham but Joseph Alexander gets in his face. Gresham & A-Game shake hands, while wearing both of Dusty’s durags. Tomorrow’s gonna be good but this was just phenomenal.
Match 4: Jordan Blade vs Gabby Forza
It’s been a MINUTE since we’ve seen Jordan here. We love gnomes now. Blade isn’t looking to make friends, she’s here to make for lost time. The unsportsman-like slap may have been a bad move, as Gnomie starts running through Blade. Jordan bides their time until they can hit shot Gabby on the top rope. The suplexes are coming. Blade taking exception to the crowd’s taunts. Jordan trying to wear Gabby down but gnome power keeps Forza rallying. Blade with a guillotine…Gabby powers it into a vertical suplex! Vader bomb! Kick out! Blade kicks fighting! A saito doesn’t keep gabby down! Jordan gets caught in a powerbomb and it’s murder time. Gnomie hits the spear and gets the three!
Match 5: Aaron Rourke vs Mike Cunningham
Cunningham has a date with WWEID champ Cappuccino Jones tomorrow but tonight, he’s got another ID talent in the Dimepiece! I recall Mike was a cowboy who could have been a stripper….but now he seems to JUST be a stripper? We call him a F***boi. Rourke uses the lapse of attention to get some embarrassing shots in. Cunningham with a crazy high velocity clothesline sets up a pretty one sided beatdown on Rourke. The Dimepiece finally slips and superkicks Mike! It’s a rocky comeback but Rourke finally hits a Molly go round for the three! Cunningham tries to get a photo with the four d-bags who cheered for him but Rourke runs over and photobombs them with a chop. Bwahahahaha.
Match 6: Tyree Taylor vs Fancy Ryan Clancy (#1 Contender tournament final)
Clancy is already upset at how much the crowd is here for Tyree in this. Tyree easily overpowering him early but Clancy decides to use the ol’ roll out, roll in, attack trick to get on top of this. He twists up Taylor’s arms. I’d say it’s disrespectful but Tyree opened this can of worms early with his posing. He tricks Tyree into charging the buckles, setting up the side Russian! Clancy back on the arm, hitting a senton and dropping elbows into it. Tyree’s had enough…big pounce! Clancy is seeing double! Taylor hitting corner spears! Uranage! Clancy tries the dropkick! Tyree catches him…Powerbomb? Clancy to an armbar! Taylor picks him up and bombs him down! Kick out! Taylor wants another but his arm is toast. Taylor hits a dropkick! Clancy barely kicks out in time! Tyree to the top…A masked man clad in black runs down and distracts Taylor. Clancy dropkicks Taylor on the top and again on the mat. Taylor is KO’d and down for the three. WHO WAS THAT MAN?!? TYREE WAS ROBBED!
Main Event: Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson, Brian Morris, Danny Miles, Lucas Chase & Bobby Casale) vs Big Business (Big Bacon Brad Hollister, TJ Crawford, Love Doug, Julio Cruz & Victor Chase)
The freshest members of the teams, Doug and Lucas, start this off. Doug gets trapped in the ranch corner and it almost pops off…Lucas getting stuck in the Big Business corner? It’s immediately turns into a brawl! Ref bill finally restores order and it’s alllll Big Business. TJ lands weird on an up and over and Morris strikes. Crawford becomes the whipping boy as the ranch takes their turns on him, all targeting that knee. TJ slips free and desperately tags in Doug! Love is running wild! Slice of love to Miles for two! Bobby slams Doug off the aprons onto his business partners! Doug is the target now and the ranch works him over hard. Crawford is nowhere to be seen and it looks like we might be in a 5 on 4 situation. I’m getting whiffs of the Ranch vs Church of Greatness all of a sudden. Hmmm. Doug gets Stetson to post himself, tag to Bacon! Hollister has something for everyone! Bacon gets his hands on Stetson but the ranch hands swarm to protect their big boss. Stetson looks to make the kill on Doug but here comes TJ from the back. The ref tries to hold him back but he needs to even the odds! Brick city wipe out the ranchhands…Doug and Brad hit Business is Booming! Stetson kicks out?!? They want it again Stetson tags out. The chaos continues and big business can’t seem to get it done. The ref is taken out of the picture…Doug and Brad get low blowed. They grab the open tag belts and start taking out big business one man at a time. Ref Scott comes out to make the count…Doug kicks out! The ranch hits a pair of tag finishes on Doug. Doug kicks out again! Love will not die! Stetson hits the north jersey lariat. TJ makes it back in to save Doug but he silver bullets Stetson onto Doug’s body…Doug kicks out again!!! Both teams are in fumes but dive back into a five on five brawl. The ranch might put Bacon to sleep but Doug hits a rebound on Casale and Bacon hoists him up. Business is Booming! Big Business wins! Big Pop on the three!
Bacon on the mic. In two weeks, they are taking those titles off the ranch. And since Doug got the pin tonight…he gets to pick who he tags with for the title shot! TJ sure looks like he wants the spot…but he also looks hurt…maybe this is Bacon & Doug’s dance again?
