WWE Hall of Famer "The Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant will compete in the ring for the last time, officially retiring at the age of 83 this April.
Valiant will compete on 4/25 for the NAWA promotion in Lancaster, South Carolina at Buford High School.
Valiant debuted in 1964 after being trained by Verne Gagne. Over the course of his career, he was a main eventer in the WWWF as part of The Valiant Brothers, battled Jerry Lawler in Memphis, had a memorable feud with Paul Jones in Jim Crockett Promotions and has been a mainstay on independent promotions in the South. Valiant still operates a training center in Shawsville, Virginia which has produced Hangman Adam Page and others.
Valiant had an official retirement match back at WrestleReunion 1 in January 2005, teaming with Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka, but returned to the ring a year later. He last wrestled in 2023.
The event has been appropriately titled Boogie's Last Dance.
