Spotlight Match: All Go Nelli vs Rich Adonis
Yo, I’ve been sitting on so many d*** Adonis jokes because we only see him in Cranston. Welcome to Worcester, D***. Nelli keeps him flopping around for the early moments. Then he straightens up and starts pounding. Nelli with the rally and Adonis is flopping again but he gets the job done with a sudden Chicken wing back suplex for the win.
Match 1: DJ Powers vs Corey Duke
Duke has had a fun week in the Open-verse! If there’s some things we love, it’s seeing DJ Powers get beat up, booing DJ Powers and cheering for non-Ranch cowboys! Worcester is very behind Duke as he endures some moist-offense from DJ. Duke hits some really good offense, including a springboard back elbow and a butterfly powerbomb. DJ dodges a second springboard and hits a cradle ddt, stuffs it and gets the three! Booooooo!
DJ Powers goes on a rant about not being respected and how he’s mad at Eye Black Jack for getting the love he thinks he deserves. So he barks about how he wants to fight Jack…ignoring the fact that Jack has been at a merch table the whole time. So Jack finally comes down and DJ runs away.
Match 2: Harleen Lopez vs Shannon LaVangie
Harleen shoving early and getting the friendly energy OUT of Shannon so this can be a FIGHT. Lopez is putting a hurt on Shannon and the crowd keeps trying to will her back to life. Shannon fighting back but Lopez just smashes her into the buckles. Shannon finally hits a meteora and starts throwing lariats…Lopez counters with a chicken wing clothesline but it’s not enough! Shannon hits a twist of fate…she goes to the top…Lopez tries to cut it off but she gets sent back down and eats a sparkle splash for the three!
Match 3: Bombs Over Beyond (Erik Chacha & Ricky Shane Page w/ Jake Gray) vs The Vibe (Sammy Diaz & Mani Ariez w/ Brother Greatness)
This is a fun match. I wonder if someone’s gonna wreck it. This is a blast, watching Sammy and Chacha out quick each other. RSP in and he’s just beating the crap out of Sammy & Mani, using Chacha as a projectile as needed. Erik is still the smallest man in the contest and so he becomes the target of all the fire coming his teams way. RSP back in and he just yeets Sammy into Ariez and nearly gets the three! BOB hits a stereo legdrop splash on Mani! Sammy makes the save! Mani dropkicks Sammy into RSP! Chacha left for the kill. A claymore and Frogsplash combo does him in. Rad match, I’m glad it got the time to breathe. Everyone high fives and hugs after. Good vibes.
Greatness has words for Christian Darling & Tyler Jordan. They have a time and a place for the inevitable clash with the Vibe. In two weeks! At the White Eagle!
Match 4: Kylon King vs A-Game Joseph Alexander
Alexander has Jonathan Gresham on his dance card in 2 weeks so he better be able to gut through this war with the King. Kylon’s attitude problem really translates into a brutal singles style. They go back and forth, just kicking the crap out of each other. Kylon hits a crazy vertical superplex and A-Game pops up for an exploder into the buckles! Crowd is hot for this one, as they should be. Both going for the kill but their reversal game is STRONG. Kylon whiffs a moonsault and Alexander rolls him up, traps the legs and gets the three! Excellent match!
Alexander is ready to talk about Gresham…but he also announces that he will be making his Wrestling Open debut next week!
Match 5: Jay Onyx vs Lucas Chase (w/ Stetson Steven)
I looked away for a second to yell at Stetson and the matc was already over. Chase won. A weapon indeed.
Match 6 Stetson Stetson (w/ Lucas Chase) vs TJ Crawford
Stetson is fully confident that the Ranch will prevail in their war with Big Business in next week. Another back and forth war between the head of the ranch and the…leader?…of big business! Crawford getting his leg worked, which pulls the power of TJ’s kicks. Stetson tries to end things with a stretch muffler. TJ freed up and looks to end things but Lucas Chase blindsided him and draws the DQ.
Chase and Stetson try to double team Crawford but LOVE DOUG RETURNS TO SAVE HIS FRIEND!!! Shot Through the Heart hugs!!! Doug confirms that he’s back and next week’s match will be 5 on 5!!!!
Match 7: Tyree Taylor vs Dustin Waller (Wrestling Open #1 Contenders Tournament Semifinals)
Dustin spends several minutes avoiding engaging with Tyree. It’s fair. Tyree wants to SNATCH THAT DURAG. And he does…and then he beats up Dustin. We like this a lot. Dustin is scrappy and fast…but Tyree smashes him A LOT. Crash rope reversal sequence and Dustin goes flying from a pounce! The crowd is HOT for this. Awesome set of reversals as Dustin tries a bomb, Tyree slips it to a powerbomb and Dustin gets free to hit the lethal injection: kick out!! Waller tries a tornado ddt but Taylor puts the brakes on and hits a falcon arrow. kick out! Dustin with a super cutter! 450 connects! Tyree kicks out again! Waller is frustrated! Talking smack and kicking his head…and then he slaps him. Bad move. Tyree cracks and Waller crumbles. Dustin up and unloading the clip…he goes for the lethal injection again…TYREE CATCHES HIM INTO THE BROOKLYN ZOO BOMB FOR THE WINNNNNNN!!!! Biiiiiiiiig pop on this.
Tyree on the mic. He’s been Open tag champ. He’s nEver been Open champ. Clancy is in his way and Fancy’s run is OVER.
Main Event: Pedro Dones vs 23 Hazard (STREET FIGHT)
If you told me on the day we first saw him, that Hazard would be an Open main event in a few short Months…I would not have believed you. But here we are! Hazard and Dones. A Father ready to introduce a true villain to righteous vengeance. I lose track of this match IMMEDIATELY as it hits the floor and disappears into the crowd. I see flashes of people hitting posts. Pedro is swinging a crutch! Hazard brought out a golf club and Dones breaks it between Hazard and the post! We got a door in the mix! They fight to the stage, Hazard thinks he sent Dones packing but Pedro comes back through and clubs him in the head with a trash can! He chokes Hazard with his own durag! Dones caught coming in the ring with a stomp into the trash can! Hazard CRRRRRACKS Pedro across the back with a chair. Hazard eats the chair on a dive! Dones flies to the outside! He grabs a leather man tool and rips Hazard’s jewelry out! My goddddd. They battle to the loft…is Dones gonna throw him through the balcony window?!? Hazard fights out of harms way and grabs a crutch. The door is getting set up. He spears Dones with the crutch! He grabs a set of brass knuckles…Dones bombs him through the door!!!! Dones loads the ring with chairs. He looks to put the kill shot right into Hazard’s dome. Hazard with a low blow, stacks Pedro with feet on the ropes. Street fight…it’s legal. Sigh. Hazard gets the three count and everyone haaaaaaates this.
Hazard goes to attack Dones with the brass knucks after the bell but PEDRO DONES JR IS HERE!!!! Hazard is ready to beat up a kid again but Pedro recovers and blasts Hazard with a chair! Pedro Dones Jr pulls from his Ray Jaz playbook and kicks Hazard right in the junk! Pedro counts the pin as Jr makes the pin! Big pop for this final segment. Awesome fight. Awesome night!
