WHERE OBA FEMI SHOULD END UP, SELLING MANIA TIX, JE’VON EVANS AND MORE

Just finished watching RAW (16 Feb), thought it was a solid show.  No major nitpicks, just some good stuff happening out there. Lots of Bouncy questions on my mind!

1.  Je’von Evans -  how can you not like this guy?  Full of energy, some really unique offense and a killer finisher.  He impresses me every time I watch him.  I also enjoyed that his bigger spots in his match got spaced out and given time to breathe.  The format of the triple threat served him well, I think.  You?

I like Evans as well (and it’s clear WWE management is high on him).  He works really hard and does big spots.  I hope that he dials some of that back because it will take a toll on his body at some point.  And yes I agree, the three way allowed him to space out his big spots.  He’s easy to root for.

2.  Main event -  How cool was it for Evans to get the win?  Gunther had an out, and Dom is Teflon, eating the pin doesn’t hurt him in the least, in my eyes.  When I see folks complain online about the company not making new stars, just open your eyes,  There’s one being born right in front of you.  21 years old, and main eventing the flagship show?  Good on him.

That was the first Triple Threat Chamber match that had a non-obvious winner.  I liked it as well.  Evans getting the nod was a nice surprise.

3.  Evans going to EC -  no way do I expect him to win, but I fully anticipate some crazy stuff from him and hopefully he gets a shocking elimination under his belt.  Do you see him as getting a quicker, crowd pleasing flurry or do they let him be a bit of an Iron Man and really show his stuff?

I honestly don’t know how they will use him but I sure as hell expect at least one big, crazy spot out of him!

4.  With Dominic not in a Chamber match, do we finally get the Judgment Day implosion and perhaps Balor challenges Dom at WM?

I could see them doing it but if it were me I would let that story breathe a little longer.  Had they not had Finn go back to being a real heel after the first Punk match, I could see more in place to get to turn.  But with that said, I could still see them doing it.

5.  Would you rather see Oba Femi land on RAW or SD?

I would rather see him on Raw.  He has so much to offer that it should be on the A show.

6.  For the sluggish ticket sales that are supposedly plaguing WM, maybe it’s time get Roman Reigns back on the show and keep the main event front & center?  I know they have a few weeks, and maybe he’ll be there a lot after the EC, but his absence is noted.

Mike and I talked about sluggish sales on No Name.  They haven’t even hit 40,000 for either night yet according to WrestleTix.  I don’t know that there is a magic bullet at this point.  Tickets are expensive.  A lot of fans went to Las Vegas last year and probably don’t want to come back so soon, especially at the higher price point.  Plus, the booking hasn’t been all that great either.  I don’t know that any one thing will suddenly turn things around.
