Some queries after watching Smackdown last night (13 Feb 2026).
1. I thought Cargill and Grace had a good outing last night. Grace is a good worker and believable powerhouse, so it worked well in that regard. I was surprised Liv and friends didn’t interfere. Do you think Liv actually picks Jade, or is this a bait & switch similar to Naomi’s MITB cash in, and she ultimately picks Stephanie Vaquer?
Given the issues that her group has with Vaquer (plus the fact that Liv is a top star and they probably want to keep her on Netflix), I think she will go after Stephanie. There is more story to tell there.
2. I wasn’t keen on Carmelo Hayes getting pinned in the tag match. He’s starting to gain some momentum and fan goodwill. I just see it as another Vince-ism, having a secondary champion eat a pin to set up a future title match. Do you foresee a multi-man US Title match at WM, maybe even a ladder match?
God, I hope we don’t get a multi-man mess. My thought was that it should set Tama Tonga up for a Title match. If it does anything other than that, I really hate it for the reasons you mentioned. Melo is starting to get over. I don’t want to see that squashed.
3. No surprise Cody Rhodes made it to the EC. Much like Randy Orton, very predictable. I did however, think the crowd reaction was great, as I had some concerns recently that fans might be souring on Cody a bit. Thoughts?
I have heard some of that response from time to time over the last few months. I think that’s probably why they haven’t given Cody and easy road to WrestleMania. I think they are putting obstacles in his way because they see what we see with the crowd.
4. Where do you see Jacob Fatu in the WM puzzle? I’m honestly not sure.
I could see him getting into a three way with Cody and Drew McIntyre. It seems like they are heading that way.
5. I 100% see Oba Femi on the card at WM. Do you think they give him a solid upper card guy to beat, or do you think they’ll just go big and give him someone like Brock Lesnar?
He has to be on the card. He’s super hot right now. If it’s me, I have him take on Lesnar and get in 75% or more of the offense and then beat him. Lesnar has taken from a lot of people. This would be a good time for him to give back.
