BECKY LYNCH IS DELIVERING GREAT WORK, WWE RIGHTS FEES DOWN THE LINE, ONE MISTAKE WWE MADE AT THE RUMBLE AND MORE

Thinking about how WWE seems to be everywhere these days, I started to think it could be a bad thing. WWE working with so many different media companies…possibly to box in AEW…makes them a lot of money now, but what happens when those media rights are up. Maybe WWE does well for Netflix, ESPN, NBC, Versant, A&E and CW, but what happens when success vs cost comes into play and ESPN, Netflix and NBC say, yea, you’re great, but not this great. Smackdown went to USA when NBC owned it, but they don’t anymore. Only CW and A&E may be getting more than their money’s worth, so to speak. In the past, WWE could falter on one outlet and another outlet could say, but with our marketing, we could do better. Now, they all know if they could do better. There is no mystery. Now, if Smackdown becomes available, Netflix could say, Raw is great but it didn’t make us what we expected…I’m not going into the Smackdown sweepstakes. Same with ESPN…the PLEs didn’t help us that much, do we really want to add a weekly show to the mix for the amount they’re asking? And CW may love NXT but could they afford Raw or Smackdown. Do you think bids for these shows will be as high going forward? And does AEW become a cheaper, more suitable option for some of these companies if ESPN can get more bang for lesser buck? Curious about your thoughts.

Could that happen?  Sure, it’s a reasonable possibility.  But without knowing how the partners feel I can’t give you any odds.  Netflix seems happy with WWE.  NBCU stayed in the WWE game, even after losing the WWE Network.  They seem happy for now. Down the road?  I can’t honestly say.

Hold on, you got a person complaining that Becky Lynch is champ in 2026, using that as proof that WWE can't create new stars, while ignoring the fact that Stephanie Vaquer, Jade Cargill, and Giulia are the other women's champs? None of those three were even in the company a couple years ago, and now they're all title holders. But since Becky has a belt, WWE can't make new stars? Ridiculous.

And, don’t forget that Liv Morgan won The Rumble!  A lot of the hot takes that we get make no logical sense.  The really stupid thing about it as that Becky is still on top of her game.  She should be used in a prominent role, especially when she’s delivering the excellent work that she is giving us.

Royal Rumble attendance… there looked to be a TON of empty seats. What happened? I kept hearing “25,000 in attendance…” is that legit? Thank you!

That was due to those goofy light boards that they used.  We have heard that the company realizes that they were a failure and they won’t be back.  They made it look like there were empty seats.

I may be reaching a bit with this one, but do you think the decision to move Backlash from Puerto Rico to Tampa has anything to do with the issues that people in the same political party that WWE supports have with Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl?  The timing seems a bit coincidental, no?

If San Juan offered the most money, they would get the show.  TKO is all about maximizing revenue.  That trumps politics, pun intended.
