WHO DIRECTED THE ROYAL RUMBLE AND MORE NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2026-02-01 01:17:00

Marty Miller, who traditionally directs WWE's major events as well as Monday Night Raw, did not make the trip top Riyadh for The Royal Rumbl as he remained Stateside to direct Zuffa Boxing for TKO on Paramount+.  Smackdown Director Lee Lipschulz handled the Direction.  Lipschulz is the usual Director for Countdown and Post-Show broadcasts.

Brie Bella was pretty much hidden away until a few hours before The Rumble event.

During WWE's post-Rumble broadcast, Paul Levesque intimated AJ Styles could have a future working in a Producer or Training position, comparing him to Shawn Michaels.

For those who asked about the SUV on the stage at the Rumble, it was part of a sponsorship deal.

As we noted in the PWInsiderElite.com section yesterday, Chris Jericho was not in Riyadh and never, ever scheduled to be there.

A good portion of the WWE talent roster and staff should be leaving Saudi Arabia anytime now.

As we broke in PWInsiderElite.com, WWE added two dark matches to the Rumble - The New Day & Grayson Waller vs. The Motor City Machine Guns & Shinsuke Nakamura as well as The Wyatt Sicks vs. The MTFs.  We are seeking results from those matches.
