WWE MAIN EVENT RECAP FOR 1/29/26
Kit Wilson vs. Apollo Crews
The match begins with Crews scoring a takedown on Wilson before getting him in a front headlock, Wilson gets free and Crews drops him with a shoulder tackle. Wilson gets up and Crews drops him with a back elbow strike, Wilson escapes the grasp of Crews before landing a drop kick. Crews recovers and he drops Wilson with a delayed vertical suplex slam, Crews then nails Wilson with a drop kick. Crews traps Wilson in the corner while landing strikes, Crews misses a charge in the corner before Wilson lands a bunch of strikes. Wilson keeps Crews down while stomping away on him, Wilson then drops Crews with a neck breaker for a near fall. Crews gets up and he nails Wilson with some strikes, Wilson manages to drop Crews with a Thesz Press. Wilson traps Crews in the ropes before landing clothesline strikes, Wilson holds Crews down while catching him in a straightjacket hold.
Wilson releases the hold before stomping away on a downed Crews, Crews recovers and he drops a charging Wilson with a clothesline. Crews then hits Wilson with multiple short arm clotheslines, Crews also nails Wilson with a power slam for a near fall. Wilson escapes the grasp of Crews before landing a rebound lariat, Crews fights back and he drops Wilson with a back body drop. Wilson fights back and he sends Crews in the corner before landing a modified cutter, Wilson goes to the top rope and he lands an elbow drop for a three count.
Winner: Kit Wilson
Maxxine Dupri vs. Ivy Nile
The match begins with Nile getting Dupri down while working over her arm, Dupri gets free and she works over the arm of Nile. Nile gets free and she drops Dupri with a hair pull before stomping away on her, Dupri recovers and she drops Nile with a shoulder tackle before rolling her up a few times for a few near falls. Dupri then nails Nile with a head kick before missing a leap from the top rope, Nile then drops Dupri with a clothesline followed by some strikes. Nile then hits a downed Dupri with a running knee drop for a near fall, Nile traps Dupri in the corner before stomping away on her. Nile then hits Dupri with a running side kick followed by a German suplex for a near fall, Dupri fights back and she catches Nile with a small package for a near fall. Nile regains control by dropping Dupri with a fall away slam for a near fall, Nile holds Dupri down while pulling back on her arms.
Dupri gets free and she quickly drops Nile with a DDT, Dupri cracks Nile with some strikes before landing some clotheslines. Dupri then nails Nile with a knee strike followed by an avalanche, Dupri then hits Nile with a fisherman buster suplex. Dupri then hits a downed Nile with a leg drop for a near fall, Dupri mounts Nile in the corner while landing strikes. Nile gets free and she drops Dupri with a power bomb for a near fall, Nile goes for an ankle lock and Dupri gets free with a roll up attempt. Nile goes for a dragon sleeper and Dupri counters with an ankle lock and Nile gets free with a roll up, Dupri then hits Nile with a head kick followed by a top rope high cross body for a three count.
Winner: Maxxine Dupri
Joaquin Wilde vs. Rusev
The match begins with Rusev shoving Wilde into the corner before landing an avalanche followed by strikes, Wilde is sent to the ring apron and he gets to the top rope after landing a few strikes on Rusev. Rusev catches a leaping Wilde and Wilde gets free while looking for a sunset flip, Rusev blocks the attempt before landing strikes on Wilde. Wilde uses a drop kick to knock Rusev out of the ring, Wilde looks for a dive and Rusev just ways away. Wilde leaves the ring and Rusev sends him into the ring steps a few times, Rusev gets Wilde back in the ring before landing an elbow drop for a near fall. Rusev sits Wilde down before kicking him and stomping away on him, Rusev then applies a chin lock to a downed Wilde. Wilde gets free and he nails Rusev with a few strikes, Wilde then hits Rusev with a jaw breaker followed by more strikes.
Wilde then drops Rusev with a running forearm strike, Wilde looks for an avalanche and Rusev catches him before landing an overhead release suplex. Rusev then hits Wilde with a gut wrench suplex, Rusev looks for a Machka Kick and Wilde avoids it before rolling Rusev up for a near fall. Rusev misses a charge in the corner and Wilde hits him with a DDT, Wilde goes to the top rope and he lands a splash for a near fall. Wilde looks for another DDT and Rusev counters with a Machka Kick, Rusev applies The Accolade to Wilde and Wilde taps out.
