Jey Uso appeared on ESPN Sportscenter yesterday to promote the 2026 Royal Rumble.
They noted Uso won the Rumble last year, eliminating John Cena. Uso said he's still a big fan of all the guys and Cena was around since his father was wrestling, so getting to be there was like "being a kid again."
They asked Uso about the build-up to Wrestlemania last year. Uso said if he could be honest about it, it was 68 days and building something that long was a little tough. He was happy to be in there with GUNTHER, who he described as one of the best wrestlers he's ever been in the ring with. He enjoyed the ride and took what was given to him and tried to make it special.
They noted he's trying to make it one of the only back to back Rumble winners in history. Uso said he would be ecstatic to win back to back and he's the only person in the world to believe that, as no one believed he could win last year. He just wants to win two times in a row.
Uso was asked what happens if he and Jimmy Uso were the last two in the match. Uso joked he's throw himself over the top rope. His twin brother has done so much for him in wrestling as well as in real life and he'd like his brother to "get his flowers too." He said they'd hold it down if it happens. Uso said Jim was still over in the States while Jey is in Riyadh.
