WWE NXT will kick off a weekend worth of live events tonight in Knoxville TN at the Civic Coliseum. That venue has hosted a ton of classic wrestling from Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the 1990s. It was also host to WCW Clash of Champions 15 with Ric Flair vs. Bobby Eaton in a Best of Three Falls Match.
Advertised locally for the event tonight:
*WWE NXT North American Champion Ethan Page vs. Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Myles Borne.
*WWE NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne vs. Jaida Parker.
*The Street Profits vs. Brooks Jensen & Lexis King.
*Ricky Saints vs. Tavion Heights.
Santos Escobar is also set to appear for the loop, which PWInsiderElite.com broke earlier this week.
At one point, Grayson Waller was also set for the loop to work against Tony D'Angelo but we were later told Waller may not be appearing.
NXT will also run this weekend at:
1/30 in Nashville, TN at The Pinnacle.
1/31 in Birmingham, Alabama at The Boutwell Auditorium.
