Orange Cassidy vs Konosuke Takeshita - Continental Classic Tournament match
Renee Paquette gives the rundown of what is at stake before the match.
Don Callis joins commentary.
Cassidy throws his sunglasses at Takeshita and when Takeshita puts them off, Cassidy gets a rollup for two. Cassidy then gets a hurricanrana after a sunset flip for two. He then gets a hips toss into a crucifix pin for two. Takeshita charges into the corner and chops Cassidy before kicking him to the floor. Takeshita follows him and runs him into the barricades. Takeshita slams Cassidy on the apron.
As Cassidy rolls into the ring, Takeshita follows him and gets a strike to the back, and follows with a modified camel clutch. Takeshita leaps into the air and comes down on Cassidy’s back. Cassidy gets a beach break takeover on the second time and then goes to the apron. Cassidy and Takeshita fight through the ropes and Cassidy gets a pair of swinging DDT for two. Cassidy gets ten in the corner and after stepping back, does it two more times. Takeshita stops a further ten in the corner, but Cassidy starts stomping instead.
Cassidy gets his hands and in his pockets and gets the soft kicks. Takeshita whips him to the corner and Cassidy is able to get a tejaris off the second rope and follows with a drop-kick. Takeshita doesn’t react. Cassidy gets another drop-kick and Takeshita only takes a step back. Cassidy finally takes Takeshita down with a drop-kick. Takeshita recovers and hits a blue thunder bomb as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy runs into a big elbow from Takeshita in the corner. Takeshita tries for a Raging Fire, but Cassidy turns it into a Stundog Millionaire. Takeshita goes to the floor to regroup and Cassidy gets a leaping, spinning DDT. They return to the ring and Takeshita gets a big boot for two as Cassidy gets back in the ring. Takeshita calls for raging first, but Cassidy blocks it. Takeshita tries to wheelbarrow Cassidy, and Cassidy makes it a rollup for two. Takeshita is able to get the wheelbarrow into a German suplex and a big strike. Cassidy fires back with an Orange Punch for two.
Cassidy misses an Orange Punch and Takeshita gets a leaping knee. The fight moves to the apron and Cassidy is able to get a beach break on the apron and the roll to the floor. Cassidy gets an orange punch on the floor after Takeshita misses a big kick. Takeshita makes it in the ring at 9. Cassidy reverses a Raging Fire into a beach break for two, but Takeshita is able to hit the Raging Fire on his second attempt for the pin and the win.
Winner and clinching a berth in the semi-finals: Konosuke Takeshita.
We then get a video promo from Gabe Kidd for his match with Darby Allin at World’s End.
Next is a hype video from the Bang Bang Gang about how FTR cheated to win last week, so they challenge FTR to a Chicago Street Fight at World’s End.
Roderick Strong vs Mascara Dorada - Continental Classic Tournament match
They lock up and move to arm bars back and forth. They each try to pick the leg and move to waistlocks. They separate and lock up with the greco Roman knuckle lock. Roddy takes Dorada down and they mat wrestle back and forth. Dorada gets a surfboard on Roddy and then pulls him back into a pin for two. They run the ropes and Dorada gets a springboard arm drop off the top.
Roddy rolls to the floor and when Dorada follows, Roddy is able to get a slam on the apron, which I hear is the hardest part of the ring, and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Dorada gets a kick through the top rope then a tornado arm drop from the top and then hits a spinning tejaris. Roddy goes to the floor and Dorada goes through the ropes in the corner for a leaping arm drag. Roddy is rolled into the ring and Dorada gets a senton atomico for two. Dorada goes to the top and misses a dive. Roddy gets a pair for picks and then tosses Dorada onto the top turnbuckle. Roddy follows by slamming Dorada into the mat for two. Roddy gets a running sick kick for two.
Roddy goes for a butterfly slam, but Dorada reverses it into a hurricanrana for two. Roddy gets a backbreaker and tries for a pickup, but Dorada escapes and goes to the top. Dorada gets a shooting star press from the top for the pin and the win.

There is a hype video for all of the wrestling awards AEW won from Sports Illustrated.
Renee is on the stage to interview Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. Kris says that she gave Hayter her shot because she lost the title due to injury, and Kris says that she lost everything as well and she fought her way back so fear her as because of what she has become. She tells Hayter to prove to her and the world she deserves to reclaim her throne. Hayter is asked for her reaction and takes a swing at Kris, and Kris grabs her arm and they argue on their way backstage.
MJF vs The Already In The Ring Dustin Waller
And MJF gets the win after hitting a hammerlock DDT into the Salt Of The Earth.
Winner: MJF
MJF is wished a Happy Hanukkah by the crowd as he grabs a mic. Before he can speak, Hangman Adam Page’s music plays and he is in the crowd with a mic. We then get Swerve and Prince Nana also in the crowd. Page lets us know that the no fighting prohibition was left in Manchester and dares him to cut the type of 90s, politically incorrect promo he did last time so all of the movie people he works with can hear it.
MJF drops the mic as he sees Swerve heading through the crowd and to the ring as Page keeps taunting him. Page also makes his way to the ring and says that tonight, MJF gets his ass beat. The Opps without Samoa Joe charge the ring until Page, MJF, and Swerve are in the ring.
Joe is in the back and hopes they enjoy the training exercise he set up for them. Joe says he will come for each and every one of them one by one until he takes them down at World’s End.
MJF goes for Swerve from behind, and Swerve ducks and Page nails him. Page wraps a chain around MJF’s neck and yells “Finish him.”
Swerve says that MJF loves when the crowd reacts to him because it feeds his ego. Swerve runs MJF down and says MJF has power, so it makes him toxic so he is more of a Diddy than he will ever be. Swerve talks about everyone who has been a victim of MJF, the Pinnacle, Wardlow, Jay White, and Adam Cole. Every one of them is worse off after dealing with them.
Swerve says when he gets in the ring with someone, he makes them better. Swerve says he is a better human being than MJF will ever be.
Swerve and Page leave MJF laying on the mat as they leave.
In the back, Renee is with the Babes of Wrath. They talk about their match on Collision to build each other up before the title match on Saturday.
Ricochet vs Bandido for the Dynamite Diamond Ring
MJF, who has won the ring every previous year, is not involved at all.
They lock up and go into the corner and Ricochet calls for the break. They lock up in the middle of the ring and Ricochet gets an arm drag into a crucifix rollup for two. Ricochet goes to the floor to stall. He rolls back into the ring and they lock up and Bandido drops Ricochet. They run the ropes and Bandido gets a tejaris followed by a drop-kick. Ricochet attacks Bandido when Bandido starts the Macarena. Ricochet starts the Macarena, and Bandido slaps him upside his bald head. Bandido picks up Ricochet and then holds him with one arm before tossing him to the floor and doing the Macarena.
Bandido goes to the floor and after punching Ricochet, Ricochet shoves him into the steel steps as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Ricochet has been in control through the break. He stomps down Bandido in the middle of the ring. Bandido works to his feet and after getting a blow, Ricochet gets a Northern Lights suplex into a brainbuster. They both roll to the apron and Ricochet gets another Northern Lights suplex on the apron. As they roll to the floor, Bandido gets a suplex and both men are down.
They roll into the ring at 5 and Ricochet gets a flurry of offense, and Bandido rolls up Ricochet for two. Ricochet reverses and gets two. Ricochet launches Bandido almost into the ref, and then grabs Bandido’s hair for a pull down. Ricochet gets Vertigo for two. Ricochet calls for the spirit gun, but misses. Ricochet gets a series of kicks and a tries for a power bomb, but Bandido turns it into a poisonrana. Bandido gets the 21 plex, but Ricochet lands on his feet and gets a rollup with a handful of tights for two.
Ricochet goes for a hurricanrana, but Bandido catches him for the setup of a Style Clash and instead makes it a Liger Bomb for two. Bandido goes to the top and Misses a leap. Bandido is able to get a thrust kick and hit a GTS. Bandido goes for a 21 plex, but Bishop Kaun holds Ricochet’s hands to block it.
As the Ref deals with Leona, who has come into the ring, Ricochet gets a mule kick low blow. Ricochet goes for the Spirit Gun, but Bandido catches him into a surprise rollup for the pin and the win.
Winner of the Dynamite Diamond Ring: Bandido.
Ricochet and the GOA attack Bandido after the win, Brody King hits the ring for the save, driving them off.
In the back, Lexi Nair is with Darby Allin, and she says he has been medically cleared. Darby says he has been thinking a lot about his future. Darby says he has better things to worry about but Gabe Kidd, but Kidd attacks him and they knock out the camera. When we get the video back, Kidd shows Allin the stairs, drags him to the top while asking if he feels nostalgic. Kidd tosses Allin down the metal stairs and then mocks him as he walks by.
Mina Shirakawa vs Marina Shafir
Mina has asked Toni not to be at ringside for this match.
Mina gets a drop-kick as Shafir charges and then Mina gets a dragon screw on Shafir out of the corner. Mina works over Shafir’s knee and gets a vault over the top rope from the apron for two. Mina is knocked to the floor. Mina sweeps the leg, and goes back to work on Shafir’s knee. Mina heads to the top and gets a drop-kick from the top for two. Mina goes back to work on the leg until Shafir catches her and slams Mina to the mat as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Shafir has worked over Mina through the break. Mina comes off the top with a sling blade for two. Mina and Shafir throw hands and Mina gets a kick to the back of Shafir’s head and gets a casadora roll through into a figure four. They yell at each other as Shafir is locked in the hold. Shafir snaps Mina’s fingers to escape. Mina gets a spinning back fist, but Shafir is able to grab the Mother’s Milk submission and Mina passes out.
Winner: Marina Shafir.
Shafir grabs the submission again and holds Mina in it until Toni Storm runs to the ring for the save. Shafir nails Storm with a swift kick and Storm is knocked out and falls on top of Mina’s prone body on the mat.
We then get a video from Lexi Nair talking to The Elite after their match last week, Nick and Matt let us know they are not cleared for at least the rest of the year. Kenny says this gives him a chance to clear up something he should have taken care of a long time ago.
We get a hype video from Mox about how much he likes the Continental Classic because it reveals how much of a fighter you are.
Pac vs Jack Perry - Continental Classic Tournament match
Renee gives commentary on the upcoming match at ringside.
They lock up and Pac forces them to the rope immediately. Pac breaks clean and they lock up again. They work arm bars back and forth. They go to the ropes again and this time Pac grabs a cravat and gets a snap mare out of the ropes. Perry gets a drop-kick and they go back to the ropes. Pac gets another snap mare and then stomps his boot across Perry's face. Perry gets a side headlock takeover, and then a spinning tejaris and Pac goes to the floor.
Perry follows him to the floor and gets a bulldog and follows with a dive. Perry rolls Pac into the ring and then goes to the top and gets a leaping elbow for two. Perry goes back to the top and Pac quickly rolls to the floor. Perry follows him and Pac gets a snap suplex on the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Pac hits a shotgun drop-kick from the top for two. Pac has been working over the ankle and Perry is selling it. Pac runs into a super kick from Perry and they throw hands in the middle of the ring. Perry gets a brain buster after Pac gets a kick to the midsection. Perry gets a series of blows out of the corner and then flips over Pac in the corner to hit a German suplex.
Perry gets a leaping DDT for two. Perry walks into a kick from Pac, who follows up with a belly to belly suplex into the ropes. They both go to the top and Pac gets an avalanche style belly to belly suplex front he top for two. Pac takes his time to follow up and smacks Perry as Perry gets up and then falls down at Pac’s feet. Pac shoves Perry into the corner and Perry follows up but runs into a big boot. Perry gets a thrust kick and runs into a big kick. Perry gets a super kick, a poisonrana and a comebacker lariat off the ropes for two.
Perry crawls to the corner and pulls himself up. Pac catches the knee strike and they trade kicks. Perry gets a back suplex and gets a running knee for two, but Pac turns it into a brutalizer. Perry gets a toe on the bottom rope for the break. Pac gets a running clothesline and a brutalizer that Perry turns into a pin for two. Pac goes for the brutalizer again and Perry bites his hand. Perry gets a casadora into a cover for the pin and the win.
Winner and getting three points: Jack Perry.
We are given the standings in the Continental Classic, Luchasaurus gives Perry milk and cookies, and are out of time.
