After reading the spoilers how does Tony not have Takeshita and Okada as your final? Why would have them as a semi?
Because that's what the booker wanted. I don't see it as egregious in any way.
What are your thoughts on Mick Foley's divorce from WWE? I was surprised how much mainstream attention it received, though I definitely commend him for his decision.
I respect him for standing up for what he believes in. Whether I agree with him or not isn’t at issue. I respect whenever anyone stands up for what they believe in.
If you could give anyone in wrestling one Christmas gift this year, what would it be?
Since this is imaginary I would give Paul Levesque the booking vision that he had prior to 2025. It would be purely selfish as WWE is so much more fun to watch when the booking is good.
I have heard you say that if you were WBS shareholders you would take the Skydance offer because it would bring more money and it would probably buy stability for AEW. That makes sense. But if you owned the stock would you be worried about what Skydance would do to CNN after what they just did to 60 minutes?
If you are saying that you are concerned that Skydance and the Ellisons would neuter CNN the way that they and Bari Weiss have done to CBS and CBS News, I think that is a valid concern. Would that keep me from taking their offer? I would really have to think about it.
I hear Cena was comparing his ending to Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s. But the way it came off, that would’ve been like if Alec Guinness broke the fourth wall and waved to the audience before Darth Vader struck him down. Do you agree with that comparison, because it seemed like Cena leaned too much into the entertainment portion of things.
I agree that it came off that way, for sure. The thing is, I don’t think John meant it that way. I think he really thought he was being cinematic and the fans would get it. I don’t think that the majority did. Maybe if he would have clued the announcers in the viewers at home would have gotten it, but he didn’t.
