Fan favorite Kennedy Blades defeated Alara Boyd for the Middleweight Championship in a comfortable win in the first round. David Carr brought home the win against Belal Muhammad in the catchweight class, with a final score of 10-0. The light heavyweight interim championship match between Yoel Romero and Pat Downey resulted in a win for Romero, who celebrated his new title with a cartwheel and backflip to the delight of the crowd. Expert analysis and commentary from Kurt Angle, Chael Sonnen, Jimmy Smith, and Julianna Pena was informative and exciting, providing fans in person and watching across the country an inside POV into the sport. Before RAF04 the league held its kickoff press conference at the Fishers Art Center, which featured the entire fight card. Hosted by Chad Bronstein and Izzy Martinez, the event gave guests and those watching a taste of RAF’s passionate athletes.
“I was watching some highlights this morning of a fight that happened yesterday…I’ll tell you what that Jack Paul guy looked like he was shooting more double legs than he was doing boxing,” said Wyatt Hendrickson. “So I want to see that guy here, and if not him…his brother, Logan, if he wants it…I’m right here.”
“I worked so hard for this. I’m grateful for RAF for having me out here and having me put these performances on,” said Dean Hamiti. When asked about who he would want to take on next Dean said, “Any name you guys want to send me, I’ll agree to it.”
“Fox really allows us to drive new eyeballs. The key is for us to bring mainstream audiences, and in 2026, we plan on being long term partners with Fox,” said Chad Bronstein. “It’s the right partner. Izzy and I, and Eric Bischoff, and our team are very grateful for Fox and what they’ve done for wrestling and what they continue to do for wrestling.”
“I’m really happy that we were able to put on a show for you guys in Indiana,” said Kennedy Blades.
RAF05 will be held on January 10 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, FL. The fight card will include Colby Covington, Luke Rockhold, Jordan Oliver, Real Woods, Mugzy, Georgio Poullas, Pat Lugo, Johnni DiJulius, Nathan Tomasello, Austin Desanto, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.
