Nikki Bella backstage promo from last week’s Raw. I found it almost laughably bad. She’s from an era where T&A were the selling points of the women’s division and her “paved the way“ comment just seems ridiculous. If she was an elite level performer I’d say OK, but I don’t think there’s even one woman on the main roster whose in-ring isn’t better than hers. I never have and never will take her seriously. She’s a channel changer for me. Do you think that the entire division has just passed her by?
I get what you are saying, for sure. As a heel, I am fine with her saying that because heels lie, that’s what they do. With that said, while she did come from the Divas era, I will give her a lot of credit for bringing new fans to the WWE product via her reality show.
Have the announce teams changed? Tessitore and Barrett were on Smackdown this week.
Not yet but I have been told that they will after the Holidays, now that Tess’ college football commitments are done.
Is WWE pumping in crowd noise like they did under Vince.
I can’t say for sure but I have seen a lot of times where my eyes don’t see people cheering but my ears hear them through the TV speakers.
If WWE is pumping in noise, shouldn’t that send a message to the Creative Team that they aren’t connecting with the fans the way that they were?
I think that would be a fair assessment.
