REY & FENIX VS. DOM & AMERICANO, DRAGON LEE VS. VIKINGO, LAREDO VS. CARTWHEEL VS. JE'VON & MORE: COMPLETE 12/21 AAA GUERRA DE TITANES COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2025-12-21 00:37:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's coverage of AAA Guerra de Titanes from Guadalajara, Mexico!

I just got in from AEW, so this is live "as I watch it" coverage!

They are in Arena Guadalajara for the first time.

Your announcers (in English) are Corey Graves, Konnan and JBL.

The live crowd looked massive. The sheer size and sounds of the crowd made this look like a massive, big league event right out of the gate.

Lots of shots of talents walking or preparing for their matches.  Penta isn't working but is there.

LWO's Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde vs. Rayo & Bravo Americano vs. Octagon Jr. & La Parka vs. Niño Hamburguesa & Mr. Iguana

Lots of flurries of action and tagging in and out.  Iguana got a big reaction taking down Parka.  Way too much to type.  They did a four way tope suicida which looked great.   Rayo hit a top rope hurancanrana on Octagon Jr.   Bravo came off the top with a splash for a two count.  LWO took over and were going to set up for a dive but Iguana and his lizard got in the way.  Wilde hit a slingshot dive to the aisle, taking out everyone.  Parka superkicked Iguana.    Parka went to the top and it was his turn to dive down, walking the ropes and hitting a top rope moonsault to the floor.  Octagon escaped a La Magistral from Cruz Del Toro.  Octagon nailed a Poisonrana on Cruz but Wilde broke up the pinfall. Nino put a burger in Wilde's mouth.  Iguana hit a rana off the top.  Nino wiped out the Bravos with a running double clothesline.  He nailed a cannonball in the corner on the LWO.  Nino went to the ropes but Bravo slipped underneath and placed Nino in a Torture Rack, spinning him with an airplane spin, which was nuts.  Wilde hit a springboard dropkick on Bravo.  Octagon and Parka worked over Cruz on top and nailed a Spanish Fly.  Octagon hit a torneo off the ropes to the floor, wiping people out.  Parka scored the pinfall on Cruz.  WOW, a lot of dazzling stuff here!

Your winners, La Parka & Mr. Iguana!

This was a fun, fun opener.

La Parka celebrated with boxer Canelo Alvarez in the crowd.  The crowd lost their minds over this.

AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.vs. Ethan Page.

Wagner went right after Page and scored several near falls.  He showed some nice intensity, which makes sense given the storyline.  Wagner went to the ropes but was pulled into a Page powerslam.   Page went after the mask, which is a big no no in Mexico, ripping at it.  Wagner caught him with a suplex.   They battled back and forth with rights and began slugging it out.  Page caught him with a boot to the face but Wagner fought back with a discus lariat.  Page was hit with a sit-out powerbomb for a two count.   Page took the ring bell and placed it in his tights while also bringing the AAA Latin American title belt into the ring.  He used a wrench to drill Wagner in the ribs as the referee was removing a title belt from the ring and pinned him.

Your winner and new Latin American Champion Ethan Page!

Mr. Iguana ran out and told the referee what happened, so they restarted the match.

Wagner attacked Page and hit the Wagnerdriver and pinned him.

Your winner and still Latin American Champion Ethan Page!

Fun while it lasted.  Obviously, Page will have a lot to complain about coming out of this.

The Wyatt Sicks vs. Pagano & Los Psycho Circus.

The Wyatts came to the ring but were challenged via the screen to come find and fight them at their Carnival of Carnage.  The Wyatts went backstage, finding a carnival setup with tents, a bounce house, etc.  Everyone brawled.  One of the tents revealed Mascarita Sagrada, who went to town on Uncle Howdy with a Singapore Cane.  Jor Gacy drilled him with a big boot.   This was quite the spectacle.  Pagano was powerbombed through a tent, which had a table waiting under the top.    Gacy and Lumis opened one of the tents and inside was exotico Pimpinela Escarlata who kissed Gacy.  That got a big pop.  Murder Clown attacked and they brawled away.  They all started fighting back into the arena and towards the ring.

Back inside the ring, The Wyatts worked over Psycho Clown.  Rowan pulled a table out from under the ring and they set it up in the corner.  Murder Clown began attacking and taking down Wyatts until he got to Rowan and they faced off.  The Wyatts hit a backdrop into a powerbomb on Psycho Clown.  Howdy was stting up for Sister's Abigail's Kiss but was shocked to find Pagano returning down the aisle with a kendo stick.  He hit the ring and began wacking away.    The Circus rallied.  Dave the Clown and Pagano hit dives.  Howdy was almost pinned with a La Magistral.  Psycho worked over Dexter and ripped off his outer mask.  He nailed a DVDR through a table on Lumis for the pin.  Howdy was sent through a table.

Your winners, Pagano & Los Psycho Circus!

This was a brawling spectacle to say the least.  Very different.  If you were expecting a technical classic here, get over yourself.  This was about brutality and chaos with some silly cameos to pop the crowd.

AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Jack Cartwheel.

Lots of fun, athletic wrestling and near falls early, as you'd expect.  Evans used a double crucifix takedown on both opponents, which was cool.  They battled until they faced off.   Cartwheel was spotlighted with his gymnastics background being mentioned by Konnan on commentary.  Evans was sent to the apron, where he shoulderblocked Cartwheel and leapt to escape Laredo.  He nailed a springboard rana and then a dropkick.  Evans set up for a dive but Cartwheel caught him with a neckbreaker, then soared with a space flying tiger drop to the floor on Laredo.  Cartwheel nailed a big splash for a two count but Laredo made the save.  Laredo nailed a big DDT on Cartwheel for a two count but Evans broke it up.  Evans and Laredo slugged it out in the apron.  Evans nailed a leaping cutter on the apron outside.  Evans nailed a huge dive to the outside on Cartwheel.

Evans went to the top and nailed a far top rope frog splash for a two count.  Cartwheel and Evans battled.  Cartwheel rolled up Evans for a two count.  Evans sent him to the floor, only to be knocked outside by Laredo.  Laredo hit a hell of a moonsault from the top to the floor.   He tossed them into the ring and stacked them, the hit a 450 splash atop of both for a near fall.    Lots of chaotic action and near falls.  The crowd chanted, "This is lucha."  All three fought to their feet and faced off.  Evans nailed a big leg lariat.  Cartwheel spiked Laredo with a kick, using Evans for leverage.  Cartwheel went for a twisting dive but Evans nailed him with a cutter on the way down.  Laredo broke up the pinfall at the last second.  Evans nailed a cutter on Laredo but Cartwheel broke it up at the last second.  The arena was losing their minds.  Laredo hit a waistlock superplex on Cartwheel landing atop of him and scoring the pin.

Your winner and still AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid!

If you are an action junkie, this was your overdose.  Absolutely great match.

Dominik Mysterio did a promo taking credit for AAA coming to FOX and Tubi in Mexico.

They showed UFC star Alexa Grasso at ringside.

Natalya & Lola Vice & Faby Apache vs. Flammer & La Hiedra & Lady Maravilla.

Natalya's new bad-ass, MMA inspired entrance and look gives her a fresh feel and showed some nice intensity.

Faby and Flammer started out.  Lola unloaded with a series of kicks.  Lola tagged in and nailed a back suplex.  They battled to the floor, where Flammer hit a hip attack into the stairs.  Ouch.  Vice was worked over but kept kicking out.  Vice was on the defensive as Flammer and friends kept tagging in and out, keeping Vice at bay.  Natalya rallied the fans to chant for Vice  Las Toxicas worked over Vice's arm and kept her trapped in their corner.  They triple-teamed Vice and pulled her by the legs into the ring post.  Ouch!    Natalya finally tagged in and kept taking down Flammer.  She nailed a spinebuster for a two count.  Faby tagged in and they nailed a triple-team Hart Attack.  That was cool to see.  Apache nailed a tiltowhirl backbreaker across the knee.  Apache booted Hiedra in the face for a two count.  Faby got caught in the corner and smashed with a dropkick for a two count.  Natalya hit the ring and began nailing clotheslines.  Maravilla nailed an enziguri.  Vice nailed some spinning backfists.  Apache snapped a Dragon Suplex and scored the pin.

Your winners, Natalya & Lola Vice & Faby Apache!

The right finish after everything Los Toxicas had pulled in recent months.  Solid good vs. evil tag.

Dragon Lee vs. Hijo del Vikingo.

Vikingo came out wearing a mask that appeared to be based on The Grinch.    He seemed to be relishing his new role as a heel.

La Bestia del Ring, Lee's father, was sitting ringside.

Lee went right after Vikingo, stomping him but was clotheslined by Vikingo like he owed Vikingo a million dollars.  JBL lost it about the clothesline.  Vikingo puled Lee to the floor and set up the announcers' table but when he went to grab him, Lee sent him into the ring steps.  The crowd chanted for Lee.  Lee brought Vikingo back into the ring but was cut off with an elbow to the face.  They battled back and forth, taking the other down and not allowing each other to get momentum.  Lee nailed a leg lariat that sent Vikingo to the floor.    He set up for a dive but Vikingo cut him off with a kick.   Lee went to the floor and was hit with an Arabian Press, which Corey Graves credited to Sabu.

Vikingo nailed a running shooting star press to the floor.  He brought Lee into the ring and hit a shooting star press off the top for a close two.count.  Vikingo and Lee battled back and forth.  Vikingo takes him down with a Poisonrana.  Lee came back with a sit-out Liger Bomb.  Lee worked over Vikingo's leg with a single-leg Boston Crab.   They battled to the top rope.  Vikingo was hung up outside and Lee came off with a double stomp to the outside, but appeared to hurt himself coming down to the floor.  The crowd chanted for Lee as he and Vikingo were out on the floor.  Lee hit a hell of a flip dive to the floor, wiping Vikingo out as they crashed over the announcer's table.    Lee nailed a running elbow for a two count.

Lee, limping, muscled up Vikingo onto his shoulders.  Vikingo escaped and kicked him over.  Vikingo nailed a Driver and then a Meteora into the corner.  Vikingo came off the ropes but was caught and nailed with a Styles Clash by Lee.  Vikingo kicked out at the last second.    Lee charged and hit a running rana off the apron to the floor.  He followed up with another dive but the referee was pulled into the way by Vikingo and was KO'd.  Vikingo pulled out a chair to use it but was drilled with Operation Dragon and covered...except of course, there wasn't a referee to make the pinfall.

Vikingo low blowed Lee.  Something happened in the crowd as a big portion were watching something that was happening off camera.  Omos walked out, so perhaps that's what they saw.  Omos got into the ring as Vikingo looked worried, but Omo grabbed Lee and lifted him OVER HIS HEAD before powerbombing him.  The crowd booed that as the announcers wondered why Omos was doing this.  Vikingo nailed a 630 splash off the ropes but there was no official.  Omos tossed the referee in and he made the count.

Your winner, Hijo del Vikingo!

Very good back and forth bout.  Dragon Lee is ridiculously good and he shines far brighter here vs. the WWE main roster.  Vikingo has hit a hell of a groove as a heel.

Joaquin Roldan came out and hugged Vikingo, then raise his and Omos' arms.  So, we have a new faction.  Roldan cut a promo questioning if Lee was the best someone could bring them.  He said his money bought him the best wrestlers.  He said this is the new version of The Eye.

They announced Rey de Reyes 2026 for Puebo, Mexico in March.

DJ Luian, a producer and DJ, was shown at ringside.

They also showed Pipe Punk, a YouTube and Twitch personality.

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano vs. Rey Fenix & Rey Mysterio.

They did big entrances for the babyfaces with dancers coming out first.  Fenix had his son with him.  Massive reaction to Rey Mysterio, wrestling his first AAA bout since 2018.  Dom and Grande are again leaning into the Los Gringos Locos homages with the red white and blue tights.

Fénix and El Hijo del Americano begin the match. Fénix applies an abdominal stretch before Americano takes him down and transitions into a hammerlock. Americano follows with a headlock takeover, but Fénix counters with a headscissors. The two reset to a standoff. Americano reapplies the hammerlock and adds a headstand with leg claps, bridging back into the hold. Fénix escapes with a rana. Americano answers with a rana of his own, leading to another standoff.  Tags are made to Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. Dominik exits the ring and draws crowd reaction before reentering and tagging out. Rey counters an arm wringer and brings Americano to the mat, scoring a two count with a sunset flip. Rey follows with a dropkick and rana. Rey and Fénix double-team Americano for a near fall.

Dominik trips Rey on the ropes, allowing Americano to senton Fénix. Dominik tags in and works over Fénix with clubbing strikes. Americano returns to the ring and continues the offense with elbows. Fénix lands a strike, but Americano responds with a punch and kick combination. A slap in the corner earns Americano a two count, followed by a vertical suplex. Dominik adds a diving hilo for another two count.  Dominik prevents Fénix from making the tag. A dropkick to a seated Fénix and a PK by Americano both result in near falls. Fénix counters with a superkick but is unable to tag due to Dominik knocking Rey off the apron. Americano maintains control until Fénix connects with an enziguri off the ropes, striking both opponents.

Rey tags in and delivers a rana to Dominik, followed by mounted punches in the corner. Dominik counters a sunset flip, but Rey rolls through and kicks him, then hits a moonsault for two. Rey attempts the 619, but Dominik blocks with a clothesline and delivers two Amigos before Rey counters the third with a DDT for a two count.  Fénix tags in and strikes Dominik in the corner. Rey tags back in, and the Reys connect with a seated senton from a Fénix-assisted powerbomb, broken up by Americano. Fénix applies an abdominal stretch to Americano in the ropes. Dominik hits a Michinoku Driver on Rey, but Fénix breaks the pin. Fénix follows with a spin kick to Dominik, Americano kicks Fénix, and Rey hits a bulldog on Americano.

Rey sends Dominik into the corner and goes to the top rope, but Dominik counters by dropping him into the Tree of Woe and attempts to remove Rey’s mask. Americano reaches into his tights and reveals Penta, drawing a strong crowd reaction. Fénix kicks Americano off the apron, and Penta loads his mask and headbutts Dominik. Fénix dives onto Americano outside the ring. Rey connects with the 619 on Dominik and follows with a diving splash to secure the pinfall victory.

Your winners, Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix!

After the bout, Dom shoves Americano to the maty and storm out.  Americano gets up and shakes Rey's had before exiting.
