I know there's talk AJ Styles will be retiring in 2026 but do you think that retirement could be he exits WWE and jumps to AEW?
THAT is an interesting idea, but nothing that I have heard any rumblings of. All signs are that Styles wants to exit and be done, but of course, we live in a world where retired wrestlers change their mind and even medically disqualified talents have returned to the ring regularly. I tend to think Styles will be done (and perhaps finally release his autobiography, a project that he was working on BEFORE he signed with WWE) but money talks and certainly, there are wrestlers who want to be done, until they are, and then they find they miss the business.
Where do you expect Chris Jericho to go when his AEW deal is up?
Honestly, all I've heard is that some WWE licensees have assumed he'll be back but that doesn't mean he will be. If I am Jericho, I am taking whoever is willing to spend the most money on me.
Have you ever visited any of the statues dedicated to professional wrestlers?
Outside of the statues WWE has made for the Hall of Famers, which have been displayed at events, I've visited The Crusher in Milwaukee and Frank Gotch in Homboldt, Iowa. Both are really great to see in person. Every other year or so, Milwaukee hosts a Crusherfest, so if you want to time your visit to having some other pro wrestling activities to do, that's when to do it! Keep an eye on www.crusherfest.org for their next event.
Who do you think Tony Khan wants to acquire WBD?
I have no idea and if I am Tony Khan, even if I am asked that question, I am pleading the fifth. Whoever ends up winning the assets, he's going to want to work with them, so there's no reason to act like he wants someone specific to win out publicly!
Who heads TNA production? I think they are underrated for their videos.
I would tend to agree. Eric Tompkins heads that end of the company.
