Whatever happened to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling?
They are on a hiatus until next year and have been working on securing a broadcast deal for a weekly series in the Canadian market. I know they were supposed to have live events in the first quarter of 2026, but don't believe anything has been publicly announced as of this writing.
Where was Austin Theory all this time?
He was with the company but not utilized. We had reported months ago he had been moved internally to the company's misc. listing, where injured talents and legends reside.
Any word on the former Ridge Holland?
He's recovering from neck surgery.
I think it kind of sucks you don't go and do live coverage at all the ECW Arena shows like the old days of this site and 1Wrestling.com. Any chance that resumes?
First, I love the Arena and I am always thrilled to be there when I visit that place. It's the most important building I ever walked into and I am very humbled by how well the management always treats me when I am there. If you mean am I going to drive 5-6 hours roundtrip from NYC to Philly to cover shows? If something special is happening, absolutely. If it's just a random independent running their show and it's streaming online somewhere, not as likely to happen, since I could cover the show that way and then go to bed when it's over 20 minutes after the end of the show. I love the Arena but we're talking $100+ in gas and tolls and more importantly, an 10-11 hour day that takes me off the board where I might be better utilized working on WWE news, which is what the vast majority of the readership comes to the site for. Heck, I don't even go to some shows in the NYC market for the same reason. I can only be in one place at a time. But, never say never.
If you could pick anyone to interview at this point, who would it be?
Ricky Steamboat, since I've never interviewed him.
