I saw so many people on X bitching about the finish of Rhodes/Femi, but I thought it was the best way to go, everyone was protected and they have something to go back to down the line.  Thoughts?

I agree with you.  I know a lot of the five start match crowd want a clean finish in every, single match but they don’t understand the business the way the masses do.  To the less stringent fan, they see a monster in Femi.  He just won the NXT Title. Having him job to Cody would have put a stink on him.  I liked the finish.

And the same bitching was going on about Cena losing.  I've been watching for 45 years and had to sit through Cena's entire main roster career with all the insipid booking that went with it.  All I could think about was all the guys that worked programs with him and came out worse on the other end.  The Nexus, anyone?  I know Cena has taken a lot of losses in recent years, but to me they haven't meant as much with his part time status.  Are you OK with Gunther getting the win?

Not only am I OK with it I would have been really surprised if they didn’t do it.  Cena is retiring.  Gunther is staying on.  Gunther winning was right, smart choice.

Lots of speculation about who the masked man was, and many outlets had said Austin Theory.  Now that he’s revealed himself, could it have been any flatter?  He didn’t have much going for him when he stopped appearing on TV, so there was no reason for any big emotional reaction from the crowd.  This felt like a lacklustre reveal or debut that I’d see on AEW.  What did you think?

I get what you are saying.  Theory hadn't been well pushed before this.  But, I will take a wait and see attitude.  If they put him with Paul Heyman to take him to the next level, we may look back on it and say it was the start of something big.  He is in with a big group so I will see where they take him before jumping to any conclusions.

I know predictions can be tough, but do you see Breakker winning in January or just coming oh so close before Punk ekes out a win?

I don’t have any inside info on that but if it’s my call, Punk loses and then wins The Elimination Chamber in Chicago to get his Sunday night main event at WrestleMania.
