FOLEY-WWE SPLIT BEGINS TO HIT MAINSTREAM OUTLETS, DETROIT ERECTS STATUE FOR WCW PPV GUEST STAR AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2025-12-16 13:27:00

Mick Foley's decision to sever ties with WWE over their relationship with United States President Donald Trump has started to be picked up by a number of mainstream media outlets, including The Associated Press.

The City of Detroit officially erected a statue in honor of Robocop earlier this month.  Of course, the character famously guest-starred at the WCW Capitol Combat 1990 PPV in Washington, DC, which was subtitled Return of Robocop to help promote the Robocop 2 film, which was being released theatrically at the time.  The appearance pretty much consisted of Robocop promos with Sting leading to the PPV and then Robocop rescuing Sting from a cage he had been locked into by The Four Horsemen.  The Robocop statue can be found at 3434 Russell Street after being crowdfunded:

KQRE TV in New Mexico covered a recent appearance by Sting.
