KINGSTON VS. SAMOA JOE, WOMEN'S TAG CHAMPS CROWNED AND MORE: 12/10 AEW DYNAMITE: WINTER IS COMING REPORT

AEW Dynamite is live from the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, GA. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Bryan Danielson and Tony Schiavone.

Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) vs Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) - Women's Tag Team Tournament Championship Final

Mina and Harley start the match and run the ropes. Ha;ley comes off the ropes with a sling blade and we get Toni and Willow tagging in. They lock up and break quickly. They trade chops and then blows and then Mina and Harley join in and after they fight for a bit, Toni and Mina are kicked to the floor by Harley, and Willow hits a dive. Toni is rolled back in the ring and Harley covers for two. Mina nails Harley from outside the ring and Toni gets a side slam.

Mina tags in and hits a suplex, and this leads to Mine and Toni working over Harley with quick tags. Harley is able to suplex Mina and tags in Willow who works over Mina and Toni. Willow is able to end the sequence with a double clothesline as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Mina has been the babyface in peril. Mina gets a second rope and tags in Toni and Willow tags in Harley. Toni runs wild, but when she locks on the crossface chicken wing, Willow breaks it up. Mina tags in and gets a figure four on Harley and then hits a DDT on Willow while holding onto the figure four. Mina then locks on the figure four on Harley. Toni and Willow take turns rolling them over and Willow grabs an Indian Deathlock on Toni, and all four women break. 

They brawl in the ring until Harley and Willow get sling blades and all four women are down. Willow and Toni go up to the top in one corner as Harley and Mina do the same in the other. Toni escapes and helps Mina get a leaping sling blade on Harley for two, but Willow breaks it up. Willow and Toni brawl to the floor. Harley and Mina throw hands in the middle of the ring, and Mina gets a pair of rolling elbows and a back fist. 

Mina goes for the glamorous driver, but Harley reverses it into Her Finishing Move. She tags in Willow, who hits the gut wrench power bomb for the pin and the win.

Winners and NEW AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions: Babes of Wrath.

Renee Paquette goes to the ring to interview the winners. Willow says they are tired and Harley’s mouth is all bloody. She is proud of their victory, and Harley has been there for her. 

Mina and Toni congratulate them before they go to the back.

In the back, Samoa Joe is with the rest of the Opps and he tells Eddie Kingston that while he wanted to fight the Joe he used to know, instead he will be fighting the Joe there is.

Next, we see the Death Riders in the stairwell and Jon Moxley says his back is against the wall, but if there is one grain of sand in the hourglass, he’s got a fighting chance. He says they are the hardest working group in wrestling because they are the hungriest group in wrestling. Daniel Garcia says if you want something, you need to take it.

Jack Perry vs Kazuchika Okada - Continental Classic Tournament match

Don Callis joins commentary.

Perry attacks Okada immediately and beats him down in the corner until the ref pulls him off. He gets a tejaris and then dives onto Okada, who had rolled to the floor. Okada whips Perry into the barricade and then drop-kicks Okada. Perry rolls Okada into the ring and covers for two. Okada puts Perry on top and Perry kicks Okada away. Perry comes off the top with an elbow strike for two.

Perry gets ten in the corner on Okada, but Okada then drop-kicks Perry off the top and to the floor and grabs his leg as he lands. Okada whips Perry over the barricade into the crowd as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Perry fires a forearm at Okada and Okada lens into them and every time he fires back, Perry is dropped. Okada then batters Perry to where he can’t stand up. Okada whips Perry into the ropes and Perry comes off with a big clothesline and both men are down. As they get up, Perry lays in chops and then gets a German suplex on Okada after whipping Okada into the corner. 

Perry gets a DDT for two. Okada blocks a kick and gets a neck breaker. He follows with a scoop slam, goes to the top and gets a leaping elbow drop. He then flips us all the bird. Perry dodges a rainmaker, but Okada hits a drop-kick. Perry is able to get a poisonrana, and then hits a running knee strike for two. 

Perry tries for a snare trap, but Okada stops it by biting Perry’s hand. OKada tries for a tombstone pile driver, but Perry gets out of it by biting Okada’s swimsuit area. Perry gets the snare trap and Okada crawls to the ropes for the break. They go to the floor. Perry picks up a chair but then lays it down and rolls Okada into the ring. Okada is able to get a Rainmaker but keeps holding the wrist. He whips Perry to the ropes, and Okada tries for a drop-kick, but Perry holds onto the ropes. 

Perry calls for the running knee stroke, but Okada catches him for a spinning slam, followed by a Rainmaker for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting three points: Kazuchika Okada

After the match, Don Callis calls the family to the ring and has them pick Perry up. Callis says it was a fantastic match and he has a lot of respect for him. He says he tried to give the Young Bucks a million dollars, but he tried to give it to the wrong wrestlers. He says Perry lacks focus and direction, so he is offering him a spot in the Don Callis Family and a signing bonus out of the Young Bucks’s money. 

Don then asks what Perry is waiting for. He reminds Perry there are seven of them and one of him, so he needs an answer. Perry says for the second time tonight, he is biting off more than he can chew and attacks. Luchasaurus runs to the ring to help. As he waits to get into the ring, the Young Bucks attack from behind with chairs. The Bucks give Okada a BTE trigger and as the money is dropped in the ring, it’s a super kick party until the Family leaves.

In the back, the Conglomeration is celebrating Willow and Harleys’ victory as Roderick Strong stands aside. 

We then get a video update on Mercedes Mone losing the match for the AEW Women' s title as well as the Ring of Honor TV title. Where does she go from here? 

Renee is with Eddie Kingston, and he says he’s nervous. He also says today is the 50th anniversary of Terry Funk winning the NWA championship. He then tells Joe he’s going to have the fight of his life. 

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he brings out Mark Briscoe. He says people used to say he can’t get it done, and now he is in front of the people of Atlanta and he’s got a title, so what does that tell you. He tells the doubters they can kiss his behind. He says that it is one thing to win the title and another to defend it, and he is interrupted by Wheeler Yuta, who runs Briscoe down. He comes to the ring with Daniel Garcia and Marina Shafir. 

Garcia says he could say mean things as well, but he feels bad for Briscoe because everything about him is kind of sad. He says after their match Saturday, he’ll be the TNT Champion again and Briscoe will have a broken leg. Briscoe says Garcia will get an ass whuppin on Saturday, but he doesn’t want to deprive them of one tonight. Garcia attacks Briscoe, but Yuta and Shafir hold Garcia back from making more attacks.

In the back, the Triangle of Madness is attacking the women in the locker room, but Kris Statlander attacks them with a chair to drive them off.

Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shoibata w/The Opps Dojo vs Adam Page and Swerve Strickland w/Price Nana - A tornado tag team match.

Page comes through the crowd with a chain, and he is joined in the crowd by Swerve with Nana, and Swerve has a staple gun. The dojo members are sent into the crowd, and Swerve and Page fight through them. Shibata goes into the crowd and he takes the staple gun and uses it on Swerve while Hobbs and Page fight as well. They all fight into the concourse. 

They brawl through the concourse and Page puts Hobbs through a table and as they keep brawling, we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they have made it back to the ring and the ref takes a chair away from Page as Shibata and Swerve fight on the floor. Hobbs gets a scoop slam and Shibata gets into the ring and joins with Hobbs in suplexing Page. Shibata and Hobbs work over Page in the ring. Nana distracts Hobbs on the apron and Swerve uses the distraction to get a big boot on Hobbs. Page then dives onto Hobbs. 

Page clotheslines Hobbs to the floor and Swerve works over Shibata. Swerve sets for House Call, but Hobbs pulls him out of the ring. Page tries for a buckshot, but Shibata avoids it and gets a low blow. Shibata tries for the cross arm breaker, but Swerve gets a stomp on Shibata from the top to break it up. 

All four men are in the ring and slowly get to their feet and throw hands. Hobbs tries to charge into Page, but decks Shibata. Swerve and Page gets a double elbow on Hobbs. Page and Swerve work together on Shibata and Hobbs. Hobbs starts jawing at them on the apron. Swerve and Page put him through a table. Page hits a buckshot lariat on Shibata, followed by Swerve hitting the House Call for the pin and the win.

Winners: Swerve Strickland and Adam Page

In the back, Don Callis says that the Young Bucks stole his money and can take them on in court, but he’d rather take a pound of flesh. He will have three Family members fighting them and a partner Saturday.

In the back, Stokely says the Bang Bang Gang will get a shot at the tag team championships and they will cure them of their addiction for TV time.

Speedball Mike Bailey vs Kyle Fletcher - Continental Classic Tournament match

Renee gives an update on Bailey and Fletcher going into the match at ringside. 

They size each other up before locking up. Kyle forces Bailey into the ropes. They each dodge attacks from the other before locking up again. They move to wrist locks and arm bars. Bailey gets a side headlock takeover and Kyle doesn’t allow a pin. Bailey gets a rollup for two and Kyle bails to the floor to regroup. 

Kyle refuses to get into the ring unless Bailey is back in the other corner. Kyle drops Bailey and then lays in leaping stomps. They run the ropes and Bailey gets a leaping hurricanrana and then gets a diving hurricanrana on the floor. Kyle gets into the ring and Bailey tries for a cross body from the top and Kyle catches and slams him. Bailey is able to recover and get a drop kick from the top.

Bailey gets a spinning kick and then a series of kicks to knock Kyle to the mat. He misses a shooting star press. Kyle charges at Bailey, and Bailey gets a low bridge and then a dive onto Kyle on the floor. Kyle stays on the flor to regroup and when Bailey charges him, Kyle gets a thrust kick and they fight on the floor. Kyle then slams Bailey on the top of the barricade as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they are fighting on the apron. Bailey gets the backflip knee drop on the apron and both men are down. Bailey rolls into the ring and when Kyle gets up, Bailey gets a big kick. They fight on top and Bailey gets a hurricanrana and goes back to the top. Bailey hits a shooting star press, but Kyle gets his feet up. He shoots Bailey into the turnbuckle and then hits a power bomb for two. 

Both men struggle to their feet, Kyle is up first and they throw chops. They turn to kicks and Kyle connects with a half-and-half suplex. Bailey gets a Spanish fly as Kyle charges at him for two. They counter each other moves back and forth until Bailey gets a hurricanrana, a PK, and a knee drop. Bailey gets a kick and covers for two. Bailey gets the Time Adventure kick for two. 

Bailey spins into a kick from Kyle. Bailey gets a series of big kicks on Kyle and then hits the Ultimate Weapon for two. Kyle rolls to the floor. Bailey misses a knee drop on the floor and Kyle power bombs Bailey into the apron. Kyle hits a brain buster for two. 

The crowd is going nuts for this match.

Bailey goes for a sunset flip from the top. They roll through until Bailey holds on for two. Kyle gets a lariat. Bailey is up and gets a rollup for the pin and the win at the one-minute mark.

Winner and getting three points: Speedball Mike Bailey

In the back, Renee is with Adam Page and no matter who wins tonight, he is coming for them at World’s End. 

In the back, the Bucks ask Luchasaurus to be their partner. He grunts no and points at Kenny Omega’s dressing room. The Bucks tells Omega there is a lot of money on the line. Omega says he doesn’t want money, just a chance to go after Don Callis.  

Samoa Joe (AEW World Champion) vs Eddie Kingston

They lock up and Joe grabs Eddie’s face. They go to the corner and break clean. They lock up again and Eddie gets a side headlock. Joe shoots him off and Hook grabs Eddie’s foot. The referee has seen it and Hook..is…out here!!!

Eddie gets a side headlock and Joe suplexes him. Joe comes in with jabs to keep Eddie down. Joe then beats down Eddie in the corner. Eddie is able to get a bulldog from out of the corner as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Eddie and Joe are throwing hands. Eddie is able to drop Joe and kicks at him to keep him down. Joe gets to his feet and they go back to throwing hands. Joe comes off the ropes into a lariat. Eddie charges at Joe in the corner and Joe catches him for a slam. Joe then works over Eddie in the corner. Joe headbutts Eddie down. Eddie throws chops and Joe keeps hammering him back. Eddie gets a pair of lariats and then Joe grabs him as he comes in for a power slam.

Joe gets a series of knee lifts and Eddie fires chops back. Joe back to the knees and Eddie back to the chops. Joe gets more knees and when he charges at Eddie, Eddie gets an exploder for two. Joe gets a scoop slam and then locks on the STF. Eddie bites his way free and then gets a DDT on Joe, who rolls out of the ring.

Eddie rolls Joe back into the ring and drops the straps. Joe blocks a back fist and instead, Eddie gets a cutter. Joe blocks the back fist and grabs the Coquina Clutch and Eddie has to tap out.
