Match 1: World Class Channing Thomas vs Krule
Channing seems to have forgotten how Krule beat the crap out of him in two previous bids for the IWTV title. Instead, he promises to destroy Krule and stake his claim for the ACTION championship. Hm. Channing quickly remembers himself as the monster hits the ring. The crowd chanting “Krule is gonna kill you”. To Channing’s credit, he brings everything he can to the Atrocity. Krule just walking through it all. Grayson Pierce is out here to provide a distraction and that gives Thomas the factor he needs to start putting some offense together. Krule still no sells and looks to chokeslam Channing. Grayson slides in and smashes him in the head, drawing a DQ. Krule may have won but Channing and Grayson are beating him down….until Cody Fluffman hits the ring to save Krule?!?
Cody doesn’t want to wait till later to get his hands on Grayson. Let’s make this a tag match!
Match 2: Krule & Cody Fluffman vs Channing Thomas & Grayson Pierce
“Krule! Throw him into my butt!” - what a sentence. Krule gives both his opponents a taste of the fluff. Grayson cuts off the Fluffman steamroller and the heels start to work him over. Krule finally gets the tag in and he joins Fluffman in stereo steamrollers. What a world. Fluffman isolated again and almost eats the pin but Krule makes the save. Grayson tries to hit Krule with a foreign object but the monster chases him off! Fluffman unloading E Honda palm strikes into Channing but a throat thrust sets up a world class piledriver and Channing gets the pin. Booooooo!
Channing yelling that he wants a title shot while a returning Krule stares a hole through him. Fluffman recovers and Krule tries to help him up…nah, Cody wants to TWERK AND KRULE TWERKS WITH HIM?!? What a world.
Match 3: Matt Sells vs Joe Black
Jaded grumpy Matt Sells is such a weird sight to behold. He’s got a mock beaded necklace made of Miller Lite cans. For someone who claims he wants a lot of respect, he spends a lot of time on the floor staring back into the ring before Joe drags him in for a butt whipping. Black gets so into the fun that he goes for an old school, trips up and wipes out on the floor. Sells starts laying in shots but Black just walks through it. Sells pulling from the heel playbook of Rope-assisted rollups and eye rakes, the crowd is properly starting to turn on him. Sells gets caught trying a low blow, Joe Black drags him over for a rope walk cutter and puts the cherry on it with a spear for the three. Good stuff.
Match 4: TJ Crawford vs Slim J
In their first match, Crawford pulled the tights to get the three. Can Slim J get the W back? Slim doesn’t even come through the curtain, he runs in from the front door and ambushes a confident TJ. Crawford trying to fight back but unloads one of those killer kicks right into the post! Slim J keeps the pressure on and you know the Tyrone crowd wants to see him get his revenge. Slim J wowing but Crawford keeps kicking out and landing hard. This is feeling like the first true back and forth BANGER of the night. Crawford with a handful of tights gets a razor thin two…Slim J off the ropes and drags TJ into a deep STF! Crawford taps! I enjoyed this a lot.
Match 5: Bomaye South (Alex Kane, Teri Yaki & Jay Lucas) vs The Good Hand (Suge D, Kasey Owens & The Wall Tyler Stevens)
Suge D took Alex Kane’s beads at the last ACTION show, calling it the price of leaving the Good Hand. As is tradition, The Good Hand enters from the front door. The match is a LOT of comeuppance for the Good Hand. Suge is more than happy to let his goons deal with Kane. Kasey takes a lot of damage. The Wall tries to play equalizer but top Team is clearly ready to deal with the big man. Kane finally gets alone with Suge but the Good Hand swarms to save their leader. Yaki save Kane from a three on one! Kane suicide dives at the good Hand! Big chaos all around, Teri Yaki comes flying off the ropes but meets a headbutt from Owens to get the three, as Kane and Lucas as held back at ringside. Awesome match, the crowd is sad. Kane demands a one on one match with Suge D next show…but he’s not gonna let Suge run away….next show it’s a STRAP MATCH! CEO Matt Griffin says it’s locked in for February!
Match 6: Brett Ryan Gosselin vs Landon Hale
Big pop for Landon making his return to Tyrone! BRG is the same terribly overconfident human he is up in the Northeast. Hale rolls hard early but BRG is ready for the SPO driver and gets a boot up to intercept the moonsault! BRG might not be as familiar to this crowd but he makes sure to “endear himself” to them fairly quickly. Hale starting to land some flush forearms. BRG thinks he’s back in the drivers seat but eats a Spanish fly and suicide dive! Crowd is loving this! Hale with a 450…into knees! Nooooo! Hale kicks out and Brett has lost his cool. Hale gets ahold of him, Gosselin eats a lawn dart and the SPO driver connects to give the win to the Good Doctor! From what I’ve heard, BRG dislocated his shoulder In this contest and will be out for several weeks. He might be a dirtbag but I hope he recovers quickly so I can boo him more. Excellent match.
Match 7: Fancy Ryan Clancy(c) vs Adrian Alanis (for the IWTV championship)
Alanis may not be in a tag match right now but he makes sure to slowly walk the crowd and rule EVERYONE up before Clancy gets out there. Tyrone Georgia might be where Southeast First originated…but even the South f***ing hates Adrian Alanis. That said, Alanis has been at this for a long time and has held gold in ACTION. He might be a s***bag but he deserves this big match. That said, Clancy is showing exactly WHY he holds the IWTV gold right now, having answers for most of Adrian’s offense in the early going. Alanis finally starts to put some offense together but that also means he starts running his mouth and disrespecting Clancy. Alanis with a boot and trying a one foot pin. Even commentary is yelling “USE YOUR BODY AND PIN HIM”. Clancy finally hits his monkey flip to get going. Alanis cuts off the rally with a tiger bomb! The focus is on and Alanis just TRYING to finish this. A huge power side slam gets a razor thin two. “I don’t even like you and even I thought that was three!” Yells someone in the crowd. Clancy and Alanis trading uppercuts and boots…Clancy ducks and lets Adrian fly off the ropes into a KO dropkick. Clancy with the three and retains!
Before Clancy can get out of the ring, ACTION champ Tim Bosby and Dylan Hales storm out from the back. Hales claims responsibility that anyone in the Southeast knows who Clancy is. He claims that Clancy’s number one contender tournament was rigged in his favor. He says Bosby has been in the PWI top 5 rankings for over a year and never gotten a shot. But he has other news -> IWTV Tag Team Championships Jaden Newman tore his ACL and he’s going to have to forfeit the titles. Jaden comes out with partner Jameson Shook and admits he’s hurt and likely going to be out for almost a year. Jameson Shook says this is not how the story is supposed to go for the team. So he went above Dylan’s head. He said he would give up the tag titles…in return for a shot at the IWTV championship! Dylan and Bosby attack Clancy and shook! Jaden is looking down the barrel of a beating…here comes Darien Bengston to make the save. Our main event is on! What a segment. So much to process here. But for now? Time for a MAIN EVENT BANGER!
Main Event: Tim Bosby (w/ Dylan Hales) vs Darien Bengston (for the ACTION championship)
Bengston has failed to capture this title before but through questionable tactics. Darien with a flying knee at the bell! Is Bosby KO’d already?!? Suicide dive at Dylan! Bengston is staying on the attack! He slips a F5 and hits a Makabe fastball punch! Bosby catches Bengston flying finally and F5’s him into the crowd. F5 into the post! Bosby keeps the beating on but he keeps getting distracted, arguing with Ref Gina. He tries a spinning F5 but Darien rolls it up! Bengston back in it? Bosby catches him flying a powerbombs him on the knee. Jayyyysus. Dylan passes the title belt to Bosby…Darien with a drop toe hold into a STF! Bosby is gonna tap out but he slams Gina’s head into the belt! Tim blasts Darien with the loaded backpack! He calls for another ref…kick out! Bosby to the top….hes gonna German Darien into the announce table?!? Darien slips it…F5 into the apron! Short ddt! Cowboy lariat! Mack 10! Darien with a tribute to Action champs of the past. This should be it but Dylan pulls that ref out too! Ref Shiny Shoes is on commentary but he reminders everyone that he’s NOT a ref here anymore. Dylan says there’s no more ref so he’s calling for the bell as the authority figure here. HERE’S MATT GRIFFIN THE CEO! Matt gets in Dylan’s face. Bisby cheering on Dylan but Griffin slugs Hales to the ground! Bosby comes in! Griffin slaps the life out of him! Darien makes the cover! Kick out! Flying lariat! Matt makes the count! Kick out! Dylan is back up. Bosby posts Darien! F5 to Matt! Dylan and Bosby drag Bengston to the stage. He wants to f5 Darien off there?!? One ref with a low blow to Hales and the other tosses him off the stage! Bengston slips the F5! Back in the ring…a spear to the knee! Darien locks on a cattle mutilation! The crowd wild as Bosby taps out with BOTH HANDS!! Holy s*** this was a wild main event. Great match.
Darien talks about how he got here five years ago and was told he wasn’t good enough….but now? He’s the champion! He healed through a blood clot that could have cost his career and his life a year ago. A year later, he’s on top! He thanks everyone in the Southeast who lifted him up and believed in him. It’s his turn to do the same. “We got everything you have up North so anytime you want to come down here? We got you.” Clancy rolls in to acknowledge the new champ and holds his arm up. This might be a Southeast First moment but Clancy may be the one to help heal this divide. Hell of a moment. Hell of a show.
