I think HHH/CM Punk’s reconciliation is very amazingly underrated. Once upon a time, their hatred even bubbled on to WWE TV. Fast forward to today, I would argue that Punk has been the best and most consistently booked wrestler in WWE. HHH has made all of Punk’s storylines meaningful, brought back his wife, made him world champion twice, and even fulfilled Punk’s dream of main eventing a WrestleMania. Shockingly, both HHH and Punk always put each other over in interviews as well. Do you also feel they have buried the hatchet and are friends now?
I don’t know that they are friends but they are professionals who appreciate each other and have resolved the issues that they had in the past. As they have both said, they have grown as people as they got older and they left the past in the past. I wish more people would follow their lead. It’s what mature adults are supposed to do. Children hold grudges and let them eat away at them. Mature people grow as they age.
Why can Pat McAfee commit to College GameDay every week but he can’t show up for work with WWE?
He likes to piss you off. That’s his sole reason. Oh, and he gets paid a lot more money by ESPN, which is his main gig, and he has also said that the travel schedule was too much for him and something had to go and that was WWE. But mostly, he just likes to piss you off.
I saw HHH visiting the International Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Albany, NY. Could WWE officially partner with the IPWHF and make a WWE hall of fame section? Or would the IPWHF want to remain neutral and not make it seem like they show favoritism towards WWE? It would just be nice to have a physical hall of fame that fans know is the official WWE Hall of Fame and can visit it. I don't see WWE ever building their own hall of fame.
I think if WWE were ever going to build a Hall, they would do it themselves. I don’t see TKO wanting to be a part of another HOF. I don’t see WWE building one either, there just isn’t that much interest by fans to make the destination viable.
Hey Dave— I know you are a big YouTube TV fan. Once Google and Disney settle their dispute, are you going back to YouTube TV?
At this point in time, I am staying with Hulu Live. I liked YouTube TV a lot but Hulu Live is just as good and it comes with regular Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN Unlimited at no extra charge. Plus, I got a three month introductory rate of $64.99 that has two more months to go. Even when it goes to $89.99, I will stick with them. I get more value than I would for YTTV’s $82.99 a month and I don’t see any way that YTTV doesn’t raise their rates after coming to a new deal with Disney.
