Spotlight Match: Kylon King vs Jake Gray
Sometimes the crowd can really get under a heel’s skin and they lose focus. That was not tonight. After a hard hitting competitive match, Kylon hits a tombstone Kyledriver for the three. Jake looked great here but Kylon wasn’t losing. Also, he hates being called “Kyle”.
Match 1: DJ Powers vs TJ Crawford (#1 Contenders Match for the Open Championship)
DJ claims he’s overdue for an Open title shot. But he’s RUNNING from TJ over and over. Half this match is Powers on the floor, getting ridiculed for being a coward. He finally starts fighting and by the time we get to the ten minute mark, we’ve had a two minute match. TJ is coming back and he hits the buzzsaw kick but DJ rolls out. Powers gets rolled in but he traps TJ coming back in and gets the three out of nowhere. Ugggggh. Good match but ugh.
Match 2: BRG (w/ Oxx Adams) vs Tyree Taylor
BRG is utter useless in this match. It could have been over in 90 seconds if Oxx Adams wasn’t constantly interfering and dropping Taylor. Instead, we get a lot of BRG preening like he earned any of the offense he’s getting in. Tyree finally deals with Oxx and plants BRG with a Brooklyn Zoo bomb for the win! This was a lot of fun.
Match 3: Will Allday vs Dezmond Cole
Good sportsmanship between these two quick wrestlers. This takes a minute to find its groove but once it does, Allday and. Ops are shining. Boofa with his trap superkick, German, swanton combo gets a solid win but AllDay had a good showing here…Worcester agrees and give the ol’ “Please come back”!
Match 4: Christian Darling vs Mani Ariez
This is Mani’s first match in the world famous White Eagle! Darling is still on his mission to beat up everyone we love here. It’s definitely going Darling’s way. He starts getting frustrated when Mani won’t stay down…so he goes for a chair. BROTHER GREATNESS IS HERE!!! Christian Darling switches his focus…Mani rolls him up for the three!
Brother Greatness preaches! He promised Sammy Diaz he’d step back and let the Vibe grow! He did that! And now he’s back! Maybe not full time but he’s gonna have their back going forward! This was awesome.
Match 5: 23 Hazard vs Ichiban
Why is this happening? It’s 1 v 23. Hazard is so damn goofy as the dude who is here to catch a body. He surprises us by kicking Ichi out of a handspring and laying in a beating but Ichiban fires back up and an Ichi Bankai gets the three.
It’s time for the Wrestling Open championship open challenge. Bobby Orlando is here! Stepping up tonight is the Spotlight, Joseph Zamora.
Match 6: Bobby Orlando(c) vs Jose Zamora (for the Wrestling Open Championship)
Well, at least Jose doesn’t have Nick Battee in his corner. This could be a fair fight. Chat, this guy’s a frickin’ dork. Orlando is very wise to all his tricks and spends a lot whipping Zamora. Jose gets some time to shine but Mom is champ and he ain’t losing it tonight. Zamora gets very frustrated trying to wrap this up as we hit the nine minute mark. Orlando fires back and the dab elbow gets the three. Good match. Zamora brought a good fight…but not tonight.
Main Event: Eye Black Jack vs Dustin Waller (No DQ Match)
I mean, we KNOW Kylon is here. Jack runs in and goes right on the attack. He chases Dusty all around the room! Jack sets up a chair and goes for a powerslam but Waller hits a knee breaker into the metal. Dusty targets that knee with the chair and the post. Jack still trying though. He goes for that powerslam again and Dustin DDT’s him into the chair. Waller swings and misses a chair shot into the buckles and Jack fires up. He tries to put Dusty through chairs again but his knee gives out! Dustin comes flying…Jack finally catches him and powerslam Waller through a pair of chairs! Jack grabs the Jumbo Grand Prix trophy and looks to clock Dustin. THERE’S KYLON. He spears Jack in the knee. Double superkick to Jack. Kylon holds Jack up while Waller hits the handspring cutter into a chair and gets the three. Boooooooooo!
Kylon sets up to pillmanize the knee. Dustin is about to fly down with the JGP trophy when Bobby Orlando runs down to make the save! Bobby grabs the mic. He says the numbers game was against Jack tonight. He offers to team up with Jack to even the odds…NEXT WEEK!
