By Mike Johnson on 2025-12-01 12:30:00

Former WWE and ECW star Super Crazy is holding a seminar this weekend on 12/5 for Cheeseburger's Worldwide Dojo in Bristol, PA from 7-9 PM for $40.  Trained wrestlers only.  For more details, contact Cheeseburger.

Former TNA Champion Ken Anderson will be debuting for Wrestling Revolver on 12/13 in Clive, Iowa.

The Good Brothers are working Memphis Wrestling's Grind City Rumble event on 12/14.  TNA Champion Frankie Kazarian will be working for them on 1/4/26.

Combat Zone Wrestling announced they will be taking the Tournament of Death to Great Britain in 2026, which is probably the biggest news to come out of the promotion in a long time.  The promotion is running 12/20 at the Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company in PA.

NWA Krossfire returns to The Sevierville Civic Center in Sevierville, TN on 1/16/26 for Locked and Loaded with Kylie & Kenzie Paige vs. Sirena Veil & Clara Carter vs. Tess Warren & Nikki Wilde in a steel cage.  That's a great intimate venue.

Mick Foley noted his entire November and December tour dates in The UK and Ireland were/are sold out.  Foley's spoken word/standup show is always great so if you get the chance to see it, I'd suggest checking it out.  Even if you know some of the stories, his presentation and interaction with the audience is always worth making the trip.

ProWrestlingTees.com have released several new designs in honor of the late Hana Kimura.

Rhino's IWR promotion will return to Monroe, Michigan on 12/27 with Season's Beatings  at the Frenchtown Township Community and Event Center with AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann, Jake Something vs. Madman Fulton, IWR World Tag Team Champions Rhino & Heath Miller vs. Tye or Die vs. Buckeye Brutes vs. Eh Team Special Forces with John E. Bravo, Jake Crist vs. Adam Wick, Rohit Raju vs. Jack Price, The Country Gentleman vs. The Good Brothers and Trey Miguel vs. Jason Hotch.  The show will stream live on TrillerTV.

Updated details on forthcoming professional wrestling-related books

December 30th - Daffy: Golden Age Wrestling Queen

DAFFY: GOLDEN AGE WRESTLING QUEEN is the first of a historic two-volume series collecting at long last the complete adventures of Daffy Dill, the original comic book Queen of Wrestling. Originally serialized in Smash Comics in the 1940s, and featuring an array of contributors, DAFFY showcases playfully innovative cartooning and design as the titular heroine battles a lineup of unusual challengers from crooked gangsters and bootleggers, to monsters and rogue toreadors. Daffy's adventures showcase a stunning variety of classic cartooning styles, from series creator Gill Fox's chunky brawler, to the flashy, stylish lines of the great Janice Valleau (working as “Ginger”). Witness the evolution of Daffy Dill as she evolves from a lovably klutzy behemoth to a whip-smart, scrappy fighter who can solve any problem and suffers no fool for long. Daffy Dill's adventures are presented here for the first time in 80 years, painstakingly restored and ready at last for another round in the ring.

February 21, 2026 - "I am your champion": The Life and Death of Wrestler Gino Hernandez by Lizzy Flanagan

"In the wild and woolly world of 1980s Texas Wrestling, the brightest star of all was Gino Hernandez, arch-rival to the legendary Von Erich family. Gino was bombastic, loud-mouthed, underhanded, fast-wheeling, and charming--a character behind the scenes as he was in front of the camera. This first ever full-length biographical examination of his life spans his beginning as a scrappy teenager sneaking backstage during wrestling shows all the way to his mysterious death and the legacy he leaves behind. This work delves deep into the cutthroat politics and tumultuous landscape of Texan professional wrestling, including the career of Houston Wrestling promoter Paul Boesch and the tragedies of the Von Erich family. Photographs from the era accompany this life story of a man who played arrogant, despicable caricatures for the fans of Dallas, playfully concealing a generous and charismatic performer whose greatest love was entertaining."

March 10, 2026 - Backstage Pass: Tales from Beyond the Squared Circle Paperback by David Sahadi

"Discover the untold story of the behind-the-scenes genius who revolutionized how professional wrestling was presented on TV, forever changing the way fans experience the action.

The world of professional wrestling is paradoxical. Storylines are intricately plotted by creative writers, refined by the agents and the wrestlers the day of the match, and performed live in front of worldwide audiences to evoke drama and emotion. It’s scripted: it’s “fake.” Yet, more often than not, it is the real-life backstage machinations, the behind-the-scenes tales of drama and deceit, of pettiness between allies and adversaries, that feel as though they were actually penned by Hollywood’s finest scriptwriters.

David Sahadi’s Backstage Pass is a firsthand account of what occurs beyond the squared circle — stories that are often more compelling and dramatic than anything that occurs on TV or inside a ring. These never-before-told stories are glorious, nefarious, and at times truly unbelievable: five-star mega-bouts between the powers that rule, the leaders and decision-makers who are often in agreement (but mostly at odds), and the superstars themselves.

This book is a tale of defiance, decadence, and denial — and you do not have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy it."
