WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN AT WAR GAMES - THE TIP SHEET IS ONLINE

By Dave Scherer, Mike Johnson and Richard Trionfo on 2025-11-28 09:23:00

WWE will present Survivor Series: War Games this Saturday on ESPN Unlimited and Netflix from San Diego, California with a 7:00 PM Eastern start time for the show.  Here is what we think will happen.

Men's War Games Match:  Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, and Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Roman Reigns

Dave: This one seems like the lack of cohesion and the egos among the babyface team will lead to them losing the match.

Mike: The story is going to be whether all the apex WWE babyfaces can stay on the same page, so I expect a moment where Roman has to be the one to save Cody and/or Punk.  This is a loaded match and should be a hell of a spectacle.  You know there's going to be some nutty spots off the cage.  So, who goes over?  I suspect Brock and/or Bron take out one of the Usos to end the match and keep the Vision strong going into 2026 and Rumble season.  WWE needs some strong heel heat.

Richard:  You have one team that appears to be united and you have a team with the Bloodline and the two World Champs.  With Roman and Punk questioning it being 'Cody's team', I hope Roman forces Cody to start the match and have him constantly tell Cody "it's your team . . . prove it".  I think Brock and Roman go in last and that will be the moment when eight people nap while they do their stuff.  Will this lead the title pictures into 2026?  I am interested in how they use Reed and Bron in this match because if they are the 'leaders' of their team, it bodes well for them moving forward.  As Bob brought up during the preview audio, STAY OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE, BRONSON.  Let Logan do the crazy spot of the match.  Will an Uso turn?  Will Bron and Bronson get fed up with Logan?  I see Jimmy getting fed up with Jey listening to Roman more than him and he costs his team the match.

Women's War Games Match:  Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, and Iyo Sky vs. Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Becky Lynch

Dave: Since I picked the heels in the first match I will go with the babyfaces here.  Neither match has had the build to warrant War Games. I hope HHH can fix that by next year's event.

Mike: We should take bets on how long it takes IYO to find her trash can.  There's a lot of moving parts and for some of these talents, especially Lash, it's their biggest opportunity to date.  Will Flair get along with Rhea?  Can Becky get along with Nia?  How does Lee look in her second WWE bout in a lot of years?  There's a lot to speculate on here but I expect this will be a ton of fun.  So, who goes over?  I bet Lee once again beats Becky, setting up their singles bout.

Richard:  They continue with the 'All Star' War Games roster in this match, for the most part.  I agree with Dave and Mike wondering why would AJ want to be in this match because Becky hadn't been added yet.  I don't know what purpose Becky's promo served because it came off to me that if any of the other four get into the match, they are idiots for helping Becky.  That is why, in a perfectly logical world, Becky starts and then as her teammates come out of the holding cell, they walk to the back and let Becky face all five on her own.  Someone turns in this match.  Will it be Alexa, Charlotte, Rhea, Iyo, or all ten women?  Lash needs to start for her team so we get 40 to 50 minutes of her in this match.  Iyo will do her annual 'Put a trash can over year head and jump off the top of the cage' spot.  If you want to send Becky over the edge, she should be the one to be forced to cost her team the match.

Men's Intercontinental Championship Match:  John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio

Dave: The right thing to do is have Dom win his Title back, for two reasons.  One, it would give him a win over Cena.  Two, it would keep the Title from being a lame duck if they are going to book Cena to win his last match.  But to me, one is the more important thing.  A win over Cena would be really big for Dom and they need to keep his ascension going.

Mike: The most logical thing here is to put the belt back on Dom, but if they are going to do it, it needs to be a moment.  I really wonder if they shock everyone with Liv Morgan making an earlier than expected return in front of the 40K plus expected in attendance.  This could even set them up as a big future babyface act down the line.  Cena didn't need the title but the Boston moment was a nice one.  It's passed.  He doesn't need the title going into retirement. Liv or not, I expect a title change.

Richard: I am glad that they listened to me and did this match instead of Rey vs Dom.  I would not have had them wrestle three weeks ago and have Cena win the title.  However, I still think the result I have talked about since I suggested this match has to happen on Saturday night.  Dom has to win this match.  This takes away the 'Cena has to lose the title on SNME' concept and it gives Dom the chance to point out that he beat Cena in his home town.  I expect to see the rest of the Judgment Day try to interfere to help Cena, but it will fail.  However, when John's defenses are down, we see the return of Liv Morgan to help Dom win and then they can celebrate and set up the big ceremony for Monday night.

Women's World Championship Match:  Stephanie Vaquer vs. Nikki Bella

Dave: With all due respect to Nikki, Stephanie should win this one pretty easily. The feud has been forced and it should end quickly.

Mike: The normal flow of things sees the heel win the first match to give the babyface something to chase.  I don't think any of the angles thus far have done much for Stephanie.  With all respect to Nikki, Vaquer should be the franchise they build around.  I can see a DQ to keep things going here.  There should not be a title change.

Richard:  This match continues the 'throw it together at the last minute and hope no one complains' pattern for this show.  Why does Nikki deserve a title match?  I don't remember seeing Stephanie going to Pearce to demand a match because of what Nikki did.  Why do the 'challengers' get to dictate how things happen in WWE?  It is not time to take the title off Stephanie but the other three women's singles titles on the main roster have changed hands in recent months so it is not an impossibility.  Stephanie wins.
