THE MONSTER FACTORY SHUTS DOWN OPERATIONS, LINEAGE PRO WRESTLING RISES IN ITS PLACE

By Mike Johnson on 2025-11-27 09:56:00

The following press release was issued:

Last Saturday, The World Famous Monster Factory held it’s final show at the illustrious 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The Monster Factory was born in 1983 to Larry Sharpe and run out of New Jersey. It was the first publicly available professional wrestling school and was consistently named the #1 wrestling school in the world in various publications lists. In 2011, Monster Factory alumni Danny Cage purchased the school from Larry Sharpe as his health was in decline.

Danny ran the school and promotion from that time but announced a few months ago that he had to step back as he had been diagnosed with numerous serious health issues. Right after this announcement, the Monster Factory lost its longtime home in Paulsboro, NJ as the building owner wanted to solely focus on amateur wrestling. Without a place to train, Pro Star Wrestling Academy welcomed the Monster Factory students to continue training under Monster Factory trainers Missy Sampson, David Goldy and Travis Jacobs.

The show at the 2300 Arena had already been set and it was decided it would be the final Monster Factory show. The show saw the students perform in front of a packed and lively crowd. The show ended with Ezra Coleman standing as the TRL Champion, Marvelous as the Thunder & Lightening Champion, Liam Blak as the Supersonic Champion, It’s Complicated (Stevie Brooks and Christian Darling) as the Tag Team Champions and Chris Desmond as the Monster Factory Champion. The show ended with coaches Missy Sampson, David Goldy, and Travis Jacobs taking the ring, the championship belts being laid down and a large Monster Factory flag being laid over the belts. There was then a ten bell salute held with the roster surrounding the ring. After this was done another announcement was made.

With over forty current and active students, it was clear there would be a gaping hole in the professional wrestling community in New Jersey. Monster Factory standout graduate David Goldy decided to step up and take the reins. It was announced that he would be starting Lineage Pro Wrestling. Backed by Monster Factory coaches Missy Sampson and Travis Jacobs, David Goldy steps into the role of owner and head coach. The same great training that hopefuls have come to expect from the Monster Factory will continue and the lineage lives on. With a proven formula of success a new crop steps forward to take the students forward in their wrestling journey.
