11/26 AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

AEW Dynamite is live in Nashville, TN at The Pinnacle. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Nigel McGuinness.

We start with Excalibur running down the matches tonight and the rules for the Continental Classic.

Kyle Fletcher vs Kazuchika Okada - Continental Classic Tournament match

Don Callis joins commentary.

Okada and Fletcher shake hands, and they both stop the other from attacking during the handshake. They then had quick takedowns and two counts. They chive each other when it’s done and then slap each other’s hands. Kyle and Okada trade arm bars. They then switch to headlocks and move to mat wrestling. They work to their feet and into the ropes and break clean with Kyle teasing a slap.

They lock up again and go into the ropes and Okada breaks clean. They come off the ropes into each other back and forth until Okada gets a big boot, and Kyle follows with a shoulder tackle. Kyle gets a scoop slam for two. As Okada gets to his feet, Kyle lays in big chops into the ropes and corners. Kyle misses a chop and Okada beats Kyle down in the corner and in the ropes. Kyle comes off the ropes with a flying elbow strike for two.

Kyle starts leaping stomps on Okada. Kyle gets a scoop slam and then goes to the top. Okada shoves the ref into the ropes, knocking Kyle off the top. The ref admonishes him and Okada pleads with the ref as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Okada slams Kyle and goes to the top, and Kyle kicks the ref into the ropes to knock Okada off the top. Kyle joins Okada on the top and hits a superplex. They both are slow to get up from the move. As they get to their feet, Kyle hits a pair of blows and whips Okada to the ropes and hits a big boot after Okada reverses it. Kyle gets a big boot in the corner and then slams Okada for two.

Okada blocks a pickup and Kyle lays in kicks and hoists Okada, who reverses it for a shoulder breaker. They both go to the top again and fight. Okada knocks Kyle down and then gets a big elbow drop from the top. Okada gives up all the Big Bird and tries for a rainmaker, but Kyle blocks it and gets a half-and-half suplex. Okada gets out of the ring to avoid a charge from Kyle, and then trips Kyle on the apron before hitting a DDT on the floor. 

Okada rolls Kyle into the ring and hits a Death Valley driver for two. Okada gives mocking kicks to Kyle and Kyle works to his feet. They throw hands and Kyle gets a big kick when Okada comes off the ropes. Okada then hits a drop-kick and hits a tombstone piledriver on Kyle. Okada tries for a rainmaker, but Kyle reverses it into a Michinoku driver. 

They start fighting on their knees and then on their feet. Okada gets a backslide followed by a Rainmaker. Okada holds the wrist, but Kyle is able to toss Okada into the 2nd turnbuckle like a dart. Kyle quickly follows with a power bomb for two. They try a series of moves and almost hit the ref. Kyle reverses a rainmaker attempt into a casadora for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting 3 points: Kyle Fletcher

We then get a video recap of the Young Bucks turning their back on Don Callis and saving Kenny Omega.

Lexi Nair is in the back and knocks on Kenny Omega’s door. Kenny says he and the Bucks reuniting is a complicated answer, and he says he is thinking about where he and the Young Bucks stand. He says if people are willing to give him a second chance, who is he not to give the Bucks the same benefit of the doubt. The Buicks then leave Omega’s locker room.

We get a promo from after Full Gear from Mark Briscoe about how he dealt with failure after failure until he is now the TNT Champion. He says when family is on the line, it changes everything. 

Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) vs The Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart)

Hart and Harley start the match and Hart calls for a handshake. Hart tries to kick Harley who grabs her foot and takes down Hart. As Harley is sent to the ropes, Willow tags in and gets a back elbow on Hart. Willow then slams Harley onto Hart for two, broken up by Skye. Skye tags in and Willow gets ten lariats in the corner. They go back and forth with two counts and a Willow ends it with a lariat and tags in Harley. Skye gets ping ponged between them and Willow tries to slam Harley on Skye, who rolls out of the way and tags in Hart. 

Hart and Skye work over Harley with quick tags. Harley escapes with a sling blade and then charges into Skye in the corner followed by 6 in the corner before Hart breaks it up. Skye gets a neckbreaker for two and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Harley has been the babyface in peril through the break. Hart does the Old School off the top rope and tags in Skye who covers Harley for two and they go back to keeping Harley in their corner. Harley gets a backdrop on Skye and crawls to her corner to tag in Willow. Hart tags in as well and Willow cleans house. 

Skye gets a blind tag and attacks Willow when Willow pins Hart and they double-team Willow. Willow is able to suplex the both of them and then carries Skye to their corner and tags in Harley. Willow gets a stampede slam on Skye and then Willow slams Harley on Skye for two. Skye gets a knee stroke, but Harley fights back out of the corner with a Side Russian sweep and goes to the top, but Skye and Hart are able to attack her there. Skye gets a power bomb and Hart misses her backflip swan dive, so when she lands, she drops. Willow breaks up the pin and the Sisters double team Harley as Willow goes back to her corner.

Willow gets the blind tag and is able to hit Hart with her power bomb for the pin and the win.

Winners: Babes of Wrath

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to speak to the new AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe who comes to the ring with the rest of the Opps, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata. Joe tells Tony to leave the ring so he won’t ruin Joe’s celebration. We then see an SUV show up in the back. Swerve Strickland with a chain around his neck and a staple gun starts to the ring and he is joined by Hangman Adam Page. Joe tells Shibata to “go get the scrubs”.

The members of the Opps Dojo show and surround the ring and Joe says everything went according to plan. He brags about how he won the title and then shows a video package to break down his plan. He then brings out Hook and his terrible music. 

Hook grabs a mic and heels the crowd. He is cut off by Swerve Strickland's music. As the Opps look around the ring for him, he comes out through the crowd as Page’s music plays as well. Page grabs a shot at the bar and joins him. They start fighting the Opps dojo in the crowd on their way to ringside. Page and Swerve hit the ring where they fight the Opps Dojo as Joe, Hobbs, Shibata, and Hook bail. The dojo members are taken out quickly.

Page and Swerve choke two members with their chains over the top ropes but it is broken up by the referee corps. 

We then get a hype video from after Full Gear from Mox where he goes over how he sent Kyle O’Reilly to the hospital. 

Jon Moxley vs Mascara Dorada - Continental Champion Tournament match

They lock up as the crowd reminds Jon Moxley he tapped out at Full Gear. They quickly move to mat work and then reset. Mox grabs an arm bar, and they return to the mat working the arm bar back and forth. Dorada gets out of a head scissors with a flip. Mox lays in a kick and a chop, and keeps throwing punches. They run the ropes and Dorada gets a tejaris and misses a dive to the floor. Mox then dives into Dorada.

Mox rolls Dorada into the ring and misses a charge into a corner. Dorada gets a dive from the top and then they fight on the ramp and Dorada tosses Mox off the ramp and leaps into an elbow strike from Mox. Mox rolls Dorada into the ring and gets a pair of two counts. Mox grabs a headlock and then slams Dorada on the mat as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Mox is trying to pile drive Dorada on the ring steps, but instead, Dorada escapes and gets a drop toehold on Mox, making him hit the steps and then gets a hurricanrana. He then goes over the barricade into Mox. Mox gets in the ring and Dorada gets a tornado arm drag from the top and hits a series of kicks. Dorada hits Code Red for two. 

Dorada goes to the top again and Mox rolls out of the ring. Dorada comes off the top and runs across the ring to hit Mox on the floor with a tornado. Mox is rolled into the ring and Mox gets a cutter as Dorada gets into the ring. Mox gets 15 in the corner and Dorada carries Mox from the corner into a flipping neckbreaker for two. Dorada grabs a juji gitame and Mox rolls through. 

Mox lays in strikes and gets a running knee strike on Dorada. Dorada gets a surprise rollup for two and then a thrust kick as Mox drops. Dorada goes to the top and hits a 450 splash for two. Dorada gets an insigiri and then goes to the top and hits a shooting star press, but Mox gets his knees up and locks on a sleeper. Dorada passes out and Mox gets the win.

Winner and getting three point: Jon Moxley

As Marina Shafir gets in the ring with Mox we hear Toni Storm’s music. Toni comes to the ring and Mox keeps Marina from attacking for some reason. Toni tells Jon he is not dreaming and she is live and in living color. She says she is the toughest and least bitchy person in the ring. She says she likes Jon even though he loves cargo pants. 

She tells him she does what she does for love, but her love is more violent than anyone else. She then announces the stipulation for her match with Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne and it has to be brutal and entertaining. She says she can’t come up with a match and when she woke up and saw Mina this morning (and Mina comes out) she hadn't gotten anything for her for Christmas. 

Next Wednesday it will be a hard core holiday death match.

Renee Paquette is with Kris Statlander and asks her what is next. Kris then asks every woman in the business what is next for her. She goes over her bona fides and says she won’t stop now. 

Darby Allin vs Kevin Knight in a Continental Classic Tournament match

They lock up and Knight forces them to the corner. They break clean and slap hands. They trade waistlocks and arm bars. Darby trips Knight and holds the arm bar. Darby changes to a headlock and they work to their feet. Darby gets an arm drag and holds on. Knight kips up and Darby forces him down. Knight gets head scissors and Darby works free. They run the ropes and Knight gets a big boot and the monkey flips Darby into the ropes.

Darby hobbles out of the ring and Knight rolls him back into the ring. Darby and Knight both roll out and flip into each other on the floor. Darby rolls Knight into the ring and goes to the top. Knight leaps to the top as well and gets an avalanche back suplex as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Darby and Knight are fighting on top and Knight gets a hurricanrana from the top. Darby drops to the flor and Knight follows him. Darby knocks Knight off the ramp and then hits a running drop-kick from the ramp into Knight. Darby rolls knight into the ring and pulls Knight’s leg back for a two count. They run the ropes and go back and forth with moves until they both clothesline each other down. 

They fight to the ramp where Knight gets a DDT on Darby. Knight gets to the ring and the ref starts counting. Knight gets a leaping lariat over the rope when Darby gets to his feet on the ramp. He rolls Darby into the ring and goes to the top where he misses a UFO splash. Darby hits a destroyer for two. Darby goes to the top and Knight knocks his feet out from under him. Darby is in the tree of woe and Knight goes coast to coast from the top with a drop-kick and then hits the UFO splash for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting 3 points: Kevin Knight

Next is a hype video for FTR winning the tag team titles.

We then get Eddie Kingston in the back and he doesn’t want to talk about Hook right now. He then says Samoa Joe mentioned his name and if he takes out Shibata on Collision, he should be in line for a title shot. 

Orange Cassidy vs Claudio Castagnoli - Continental Championship Tournament match

Cassidy gets a quick rollup as the bell rings and they go back and forth with Cassidy getting two counts until Claudio gets a tilt a whirl backbreaker to slow the pace. Claudio drops Cassidy face first on the top turnbuckle and then goes for a slam, but Cassidy crawls out from under. Cassidy gets a series of soft kicks followed by a big kick. Cassidy gets an arm drag and dives into Claudio on the floor, who stops him with a lariat. 

Claudio tosses Cassidy into the barricades back and forth. He does it over and over as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Cassidy has been beat down the entire time. The story has been that when Cassidy goes for pockets, Claudio attacks him harder. Claudio picks Cassidy up by his pants for gut busters. He then does it with a backbreaker. Cassidy is able to reverse the next pickup for a DDT. Cassidy gets his hands in his pockets and Cassidy gets a drop-kick to Claudio’s hip and then gets a PK. 

Cassidy tries for beach break but can’t pick Claudio up. Claudio gets a knee strike and charges as Cassidy, who dodges and Claudio runs into the ring post; Cassidy gets a DDT on the floor and then when they return to the ring, Claudio grabs him, but reverses it into stundog millionaire. Cassidy goes to the top and leaps into an uppercut and Claudio covers for two.

Claudio hits the hammer and anvil elbows and then sets for the neutralizer and Cassidy fights out of it. Claudio instead gets the giant swing. Claudio runs into an orange punch and then gets a DDT on Claudio. Cassidy lines up for the orange punch and when Claudio pops him up, he hits the punch and then a beach break for two. 

Cassidy tosses the elbow pad and calls for the orange punch, but Claudio catches him. Cassidy gets a hurricanrana for two. Claudio gets the uppercut for the pin and the win. 

Winner and getting three points: Claudio Castagnoli

Renee gets into the ring and asks Claudio about competing in all three Tournaments. Renee has to leave the ring as the Death Riders attack Orange Cassidy. This empties the locker room and all of the Continental Classic are brawling in the ring. Mascara Dorada dives onto everyone as Orange Cassidy nails Yuta with an Orange Punch.
