Paul Heyman appeared on ESPN First Take this afternoon to promote this Saturday's WWE Survivor Series. During the appearance, Stephen A. Smith said Heyman was the greatest manager in wrestling history, to which Heyman agreed.
When asked about Brock Lesnar slipping on Raw, Heyman said it was a "GOAT Move" because he "turned a fumble into a touchdown,” rolling through and recovering instantly without missing a beat.
On John Cena making his final Survivor Series appearance, Heyman promised the best Survivor Series performance of Cena’s career, praising him as “the hardest working man in the business.”
Heyman was asked why Roman doesn't like him and said it was jealousy.
Heyman talked about issues on the babyface team in the Wargames and said, "United we stand, divided they fall."
When he was asked if he was in character, Heyman said he's always "that guy" and he's the same on TV as the person you'd run into in the hardware store on or on the streets of NYC.
Heyman hyped this year’s WarGames as the greatest collection of WWE talent ever assembled in that match and said it was also a teaser for Wrestlemania. He then praised the women's Wargames talent roster.
On Seth Rollins’ Injury, Heyman said he was a “guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer” and expressed concern for his recovery, while noting the damage caused by Bron Breakker.
When asked his favorite place to Heyman, he quipped back "with my conscience."
When Stephen A. Smith asked who the next rising star in WWE would be, Heyman pointed to himself, declaring he’s “just getting started” and has another 40 years of greatness ahead.
It closed with Heyman cutting a promo promising that if fans didn't watch Survivor Series, all their friends would make fun of them next week.
