Can babyfaces please stop saying that they respect each other? It has become a huge crutch.
I couldn’t agree more. I said the same thing on the FMB with Eps on Saturday. It’s become really annoying to me.
I believe it was mid-summer 2024 when John Cena and WWE announced his 2025 retirement tour. I will give Cena credit - he has shown up, wrestled and put in some effort for a part-timer who didn't want to be seen as one. As we approach the last quarter of this tour, I'm increasingly convinced WWE had virtually no plan or storyline arch for him this entire year besides getting him his 17th championship. While I didn't watch the Netflix show, from what I've read his Elimination Chamber heel turn was not planned long before. To your knowledge, what exactly happened to make this last run so disappointing? Was it The Rock's early involvement that derailed agreed to storylines? Was his heel run supposed to last until the very end of 2025 to make this story finally makes sense? I was under the impression he would come back, revisit some rivalries, put over younger talent under an overarching theme. Sincerely, Confused Fan.
In a nutshell, Triple H tried to be a booking genius and swerve us with Cena’s heel turn. I don’t think most people wanted to see it in the first place but when Cena was so boring after the turn, it was a far in church. As we have seen since he turned babyface, this is what they should have done with Cena all along.
Where is Jacob Fatu now? Did the management give up on him? He had a very successful year but he has not been on TV for +1 month.
As you know, he returned on Friday. He was around the company but HHH often keeps talents off of TV when he doesn’t have a good program for them to keep them fresher.
I feel like when Vince McMahon was running WWE he was more about the fans & making prices at a reasonable price for the fans to afford it. With HHH now running things it seems like he's more about making money, with another Streaming App with ESPN, which I feel like they don't even need and a lot of people were having trouble with downloading that ESPN APP, & just ticket prices going up as well. It's almost coming off as HHH is in it just to make $. & Really doesn't care that much about the fans. Am I being too critical by feeling like that? Or do I have a case with that?
In order, yes Vince was more about a mix between making money and being fan friendly. Say what you want about him but he didn’t make it impossible for many fans to even follow the product now. With that said, you are way off base blaming HHH. He is just an employee, not the owner. The ownership of WWE is TKO and they make the deals. To be clear, generating as much revenue as possible. Making fans happy? Not a consideration. As long as they can keep driving revenue higher they will. The only way that they will drop prices is if they have to.
