Did I just see the referee in the main event of Smackdown stop her count when Nia didn't kick out? I think she should have counted the 3rd fall it makes it look stupid when they forget to kick out.
Yes, you did. That was a bad, bad spot. The ref is supposed to call what they see and that is what she should have done.
After watching Smackdown last night (and the last few weeks as well ), do you see that the seeds have been planted for a Jade Cargill heel turn? Given the commentary and the way the match went down, I could see it. And I feel her overall mannerisms are more heelish anyway.
I could see them going that way, for sure. She played a heel well in AEW and there and she has been heelish of late. After her having the match won and still losing on Friday and still coming out with nothing? Plus, with the way that she got busted open hard way, I could see them maybe using that as a trigger for doing it.
I thought involving Cody with Heyman was a good call, as it gives Cody something to really sink his teeth into, even if it's short term. You?
The segment was very good because both of them are awesome on the mic. My only issue is that it is for a meaningless match at Crown Jewel. But hopefully they will lay some seeds that they can come back to later.
Fatu vs. McIntyre should be fun from an in-ring standpoint. Do you see it as putting guys together who both need wins, though? Drew needs to bounce back after losing to Cody and Fatu needs to do Jacob Fatu things, like wrecking people.
I am guessing that Drew will be out for a while filming his movie role. When he comes back he would have to come after Fatu. Given the way that they have misused Drew over the last few months, I would bet that they have him job out to Jacob. Triple H’s overall booking lately has been meh at best.
