Today's Wrestlemania 43 announcement was a TV shoot more than a formal press conference. We are told the room did not include any invited local media or anyone from the general public. WWE was indeed live from Las Vegas with all the talents having been brought in specifically for the shoot. Some are not staying for AAA tonight.
While he was not mentioned, we are told that John "Big" Gaburick, who works for the company as their liason to Saudi Arabia and is overseas there much of the year, was a big part of this deal coming together.
As we reported earlier this week on PWInsiderElite.com, there were rumors in the industry earlier this week of Mania 43 being split between Saudi Arabia and Nashville, but there was nothing to that and those beliefs were inaccurate.
We are told the company is getting paid a "mindblowing" amount of money for the event.
There was no official date announced for Wrestlemania 43.
Those we spoke to in the company believed that when 2027 comes, Mania week will have all the usual ancillary events such as Raw, Smackdown, Hall of Fame, etc. emanating from Riyadh. They were not aware whether NXT would be part of the package, but noted it was still early enough for plans to be put in place.
Finally, since we are already getting questions about this, I can 100% confirm that no, Vladimir the Superfan and Ringside Charlie will not be going to Saudi Arabia for the show.
