Do you think there is a correlation between Smackdown’s rating being lower when they are in Europe?
Yes, I do. Between people using a VPN to watch it early and spoilers leaking before the show airs in the US, it makes it easier for people to find out what happened and that has an affect on the ratings.
With Cena's final match taking place in Washington DC, do you think it would be a mistake to have Donald Trump attend the show given the significant negative live fan response to Trump and other things political in recent times? On the one hand, if Trump appears, it would bring in a lot of mainstream attention. But, if he gets booed out of the building, that's the only thing people will be talking about, and it would absolutely overshadow and tarnish what should be a significant, historical moment in wrestling history in Cena's retirement match.
If it were my call, I would not have him in the building for the very reason that you mentioned. It’s Cena’s last match and that should be the story, period.
With WWE Monday Night Raw starting at 7 PM starting next Monday, do you think the change in time will really make a difference rating wise? As I read there doing it to try & get ahead of Money Night Football which I understand. But do you think it'll really make a difference rating wise?
Well, Netflix doesn’t go by the Nielsen standard for ratings. With that said, I think it’s worth trying as it will give people an hour plus to watch Raw before the MNF game starts. I have no problem with them trying to do it.
From what you know about Dwayne Johnson, do you think he is so concerned about his appearance that he would hold himself off of WWE TV, even in a non-wrestling role, until he regains at least some of the muscle mass he lost while filming "The Smashing Machine?"
I don’t know him well enough to say but at the end of the day, they could put him in an outfit that would make him look bigger if that were an issue.
