I noticed Bret Hart is doing an audio book of his autobiography. Do we know if there will be any changes to the book given it was written when he was at great odds with WWE and now isn't?
I haven't heard of any changes to the book and I don't think there should be any. The book is a historical record of Bret's life and was written from his perspective at the time it was published. Changing it would cheapen the book. There's no need for that.
Do you think AEW will return to the 2300 Arena?
I hope so. The live crowds have been really fun and electric. That shouldn't be a shock since it's one of the all time best venues ever for professional wrestling. I'd rather watch wrestling there vs. anywhere else in the world. The ambience of the venue makes everything better. It really all depends on what AEW wants.
Do you think you'd ever want to write a book about Terry Funk?
No. The book on Terry was written...by Terry! That book is available for everyone who wants to read it to do so.
Any update on Private Party's status with AEW?
I haven't heard anything on their status.
What do you think about the rumors of Chris Jericho returning to WWE? I get it that he spent most of his career there and he is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction. He was so instrumental to AEW at the beginning. The Learning Tree thing fell flat, but he has been off TV long enough he could come back and reinvent himself again and be a huge asset to AEW. It almost feels like a betrayal to me and I feel like WWE only wants him back to hurt AEW. Thoughts?
Of course WWE would want to hurt AEW. From their perspective, anything that strengthens WWE and weakens everyone else is the right move. I am sure they would be happy to take anyone, from any company, that they believe they can make money with so others can't. As far as what I think about the rumors, it comes down to this. There's two major places that can pay a premium dollar for talents. It makes sense talents use them against each other to try and raise their profile and asking price. You say it's a betrayal, so I will ask you this - was it a betrayal when he left WWE to work New Japan and then later signed with AEW?
