WWE announced a sellout for Raw at the BP Pulse with around 11,000 people there. I have been in the building many times it holds thousands more than that. How can they call it a sellout?
They call it a sellout when they distribute all of the tickets that they make available. I think with the higher prices that they charge, they will probably be doing more “sellouts” that don’t actually mean a full building.
Whose idea was it to bring Terry Funk in as Chainsaw Charlie? Was it Vince being Vince or did Funk want to play off the 3 Faces of Foley gimmick?
Vince was the final say on all creative so we can thank him for that ridiculous use of Terry.
I was curious as to why John Cena's remainder of his contracted dates with the company only cover a certain number of dates. Was this something he negotiated being a part time competitor the last couple of years? Is this common with guys on part time deals like Brock Lesnar and his limited deals? That they only commit to a certain number of days per year?
You said it yourself, he negotiated a certain number of dates. It now is pretty clear that the last one will be in his hometown area of Boston. It’s up to each talent to negotiate the deal that they want. The more stroke the talent has, the better bargaining position they have.
What happened to Saturday Night’s Main Event? I had been enjoying it since its return in December 2024 and, as far as I’m aware, it was drawing decent numbers. The ratings for the July 12th show were affected by the AEW pay-per-view which was at the same time and Goldberg’s promo being cut off wasn’t ideal. But is NBC so annoyed with WWE and the SNME numbers that they’ve now decided to make the show exclusive to Peacock?
I believe it’s just the opposite. With NBCU losing the PLEs, I am under the impression that they made SNME Peacock only because they see it as a draw to people who pay for the streaming service. I think it was a wise move.
