Does Smackdown have a chance to be put on Peacock in addition to USA in this new deal with Comcast?
As WWE has shown us recently, expect the unexpected. If it behooves them, I could see NBCU looking to approach TKO to do it.
While WWE is destroying AEW in their war now, I can totally see Tony Khan winning in the end. Eventually, TKO is going to sell WWE when the hot streak ends - and besides the Saudis, Tony Khan would be the only player available with the money and the motivation to buy WWE. This would be TK’s ultimate wet dream. Your thoughts?
I never say never, but I wouldn’t bet any money on that happening. WWE is set for years with their content deals. TKO hasn’t sold UFC, I don’t see why they would sell WWE unless the offer was massive. Even then, the partners would have a say in whether they wanted to continue to work with the new owners.
Now that WWE has announced WrestlePalooza on September 20, what should AEW do about All Out? If you were Tony Khan, would you start it earlier in the day or move it? Is there anything they can do to counter the WWE show or a match/card that would get more eyeballs on their show?
I think it will be tough, for sure. I think that they just have to go on with the show and put on the best card that they can, hoping to entice fans to buy the show.
Priced out of the PLE's. Now with this ESPN thing, I'm priced out of the streaming. Peacock was a good deal as it was only a few bucks a month and, frankly, WWE was the only thing that I watched. I cannot pay $30/month to watch just WWE. Having said that, does ESPN have a cheaper rate that allows streaming of WWE content without all that other stuff?
At present, no they don’t.
