JGeorge won last week so he wins the series if he takes the W tonight. But Jay Lyon? He has Dave’s Hot Chicken in his Corner! If Lyon wins, we get free hot chicken! However, JGeorge has a pinkie injury so he’s brought in a standin…GARY JAY!!! Wait what…
Spotlight Match: Jay Lyon vs Gary Jay (w/ JGeorge) (Dave’s Hot Chicken Match / First to 2 Consecutive Wins)
Does this Count for the series? I’m pretty stoked for the change up this week but I don’t love booing Gary Jay. Lyon eats a few big chops. JGeorge is a ringside distraction and that leads to Lyon getting distracted, leading to a rollup and a three?!? We DON’T get chicken?!? Call me Summer Stunned!
Match 1: Moist Boys (DJ Powers & Giorgio Lawrence) vs Mani Ariez & Sammy Diaz
DJ runs for the floor multiple times before letting Giorgio eat the opening stanza of this righteous beatdown. DJ keeps getting tagged in but he quickly runs for cover when it’s clear he’s not on top. Finally, him and Giorgio get on the same page and double team Sammy. It’s a long beatdown, made longer when DJ drops Mani before the tag. Sammy finally gets to Mani! Ariez runs wild on both opponents. He almost takes it home with a DVD before Sammy can make it back to the corner. Sammy joins for a Blockbuster powerbomb! Lawrence breaks up the pin! Giorgio posts Mani and holds the legs down when DJ rolls up a distracted Sammy! Nooooooo! Sammy and Mani are still friends but this was a setback for any title hopes they may have been looking for.
Match 2: Joe Ocasio vs Pedro Dones
The mentors of the two main BIOPro factions clash tonight! Teacher fight! Though…Joe takes control quickly and this becomes more of a murder. He tosses Pedro, stomps and splashes him. He ties him up in the ropes for a reverse apron curb stomp. Pedro starts to reverse some of this offense and gets the knees up on a splash but how much does he have left? Pedro with a backstabber…he tries a clothesline over the top it he can’t get the momentum. He settles for a suplex out of the ring! They are barely standing at the eight count…..they keep fighting despite the orders of ref bill. And they both get counted out. Joe tries to leave Pedro laying but he runs straight into a headbutt from The shot caller! Joe and Pedro clearly want to finish this. Maybe they will in the upcoming weeks.
Match 3: Charles Mason vs All Go Nelli (Discovery Gauntlet)
You know the rules! You gotta win it to stay in it! Will Mason’s reign of terror continue? Recent BIOPro grad Nelli has a TALLLLLLL task in his debut match. Charles opens this contest by biting into Nelli’s skull. All Go is trying to stay moving but Mason is enjoying the damage he takes almost as much as the damage he inflicts. Mason with a deeply concealed fishhook hold that Nelli barely escapes. Hangman’s sleeper off the top sets up a double stomp to the back of the head. Nelli kicks out! Heart! Nelli tries to make his comeback but Mason is biding his time till he gets the rear naked choke in and forces All Go to a Full Stop.
Match 4: Brett Mettro vs Eye Black Jack
Mettro is in full grumpy mode. Jack is trying to keep up a pace here but Brett keeps bowling him over. Even Rain Conway, who I thought was supposed to be selling raffle tickets takes a few shots at Jack. Mettro with a f5 but only gets two! Rain keeps interfering but Jack finally gets wise to it and baits Mettro into crashing into his conspirator. Jack with a rollup and the three! Mettro leaves Rain to face the fury of EBJ, to the delight of Worcester.
Rich Palladino brings out a returning Shannon LaVangie, freshly returned from a knee injury after more than a year away! Shannon is all smiles but…she wants to talk about self-reflection and how she is looking to get past her bratty “Troublemaker” moniker. She still considers herself the top female here…so she’s going be watching Cosmic vs Gabby with great interest.
Match 5: Gabby Forza vs Cosmic (Submission Match)
Gabby goes straight for that stretch muffler she won with last week. Cosmic gets out but Gabby is relentless and catches a kick right into that hold. Huge corner spears from Gnomie! Cosmic with a dodge and kick to the back of the head finally takes the steam out of Gabby! Cosmic trying to stretch Forza with her legs. Gabby back to that stretch muffler but can’t get it done! Double clothesline, double down! They fight to the feet! Gabby with a stampede! Cosmic gets a crucifix hold but Gabby slams her back! Once more to the stretch muffler! She sinks deep and Cosmic taps!
Shannon is back out to look Gabby in the eye. She holds Forza’s hand up in victory…but you KNOW there’s a fight coming!
Main Event: Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes)(c) vs Big Business (TJ Crawford & Love Doug) (for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Championships)
Ricky starts this off and he might look like a champ for about 30 seconds, TJ & Doug are making him regret taking the match. Baylor tries his luck but he gets loved on by Cupid Douglas. Swipe Right gets stuck in the prom pose with each other to add insult to injury. Swipe Right starts up with their distraction tactics and finally get a solid shot on the silver sniper. TJ taking the heat now. Swipe Right swarming like sharks, ripping off what they can from the challenger. They looked poised for the kill shot but TJ gets the dodge and the tag! Doug has smooches for all! Baylor blocks the slice of love! Ricky saves the sling blade! Big back drop suplex to Doug for two! Cupid in the crosshairs now as TJ recovers. Doug with a desperate saito that drops Smokes. He makes the tag! Crawford comes in hot! He hits a suplex/skull crushing finales combo to Swipe Right for two! The crowd WANTS this title change! TJ and Doug trade Swipe Right in a double camel clutch! The volume just went CRAZY! Swipe Right escapes! Everyone trying to land a kill shot! Doug kicks out of a slingshot spear! Big bomb to Doug! Run with a double stomp to break the pin! This is awesome. Suplex bomb to Smokes! Razor thin kickout! TJ mad at Doug for not getting the finish. He shoves Doug! Doug trying to calm TJ down when Swipe Right hit TJ into Doug and put our Cupid down with a super Swipe! Noooooo!
TJ is despondent after losing ANOTHER championship bid. TJ apologizing to Doug
For losing his cool…they go to hug but Love Doug shoves Crawford away and leaves! Oh nooooo!
