Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW) returned to The Mecca in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey today to present High Noon. The show streamed live on GCW’s YouTube channel, as well. The results are below:
1) Charles Mason won the JCW World Championship #1 Contender’s Scramble when he made Emersyn Jayne tap to a sleeper. This was an action packed opening match that also featured Kevin Ku, Manno Lo, Mr. Danger, and Ryan Clancy.
2) Matt Mako defeated Labron Kozone by making him tap to an armbar. The action spilled outside, but Mako and Kazone also went back and forth with hard strikes and mat wrestling.
3) Mara Sade defeated Lena Kross with a roll up. Kross utilized her size advantage for a good portion of the match, but Sade fought back and ended up with the win.
4) Joey Janela defeated Nick Comoroto. This was a brawl that included chairs, a door, and a cinder block. In the end, Janela used the cinder block to smash Comoroto in the head to get the win.
5) 1 Called Manders defeated Thomas Shire to retain the WXW Unified World Wrestling Title. This was a cowboy hoss fight that featured some hard chops and the working over of specific body parts (Manders’ arm and Shire’s leg). After the match, Manders put over Shire and reminded everyone that they are a team - calling out any team in JCW or GCW. Manders also gave a warning to Mad Dog Connelly, as they will be having a Lights Out Match at the next JCW event.
6) Billie Starkz, Orsi, and Top Team defeated Griffin McCoy, The Cosmic Cuties, and JP Grayson when Top Team hit their finish on JP Grayson. This was originally announced as a 10-person tag team match that was supposed to feature Tony Deppen, Jackson Drake, and Zayda Steel, but those three did not end up appearing.
7) Masha Slamovich defeated Marcus Mathers to retain the JCW World Championship. This was a back and forth match that spilled to the outside and featured both wrestlers giving it their all for the title. They showed each other respect after the match. As Mathers exited the ring, a kid alerted him to someone needing help in the crowd. Mathers called for help from officials and the person was brought to the back to be attended to. Charles Mason used the distraction to lay out Masha Slamovich and put her on notice with him being the new #1 contender.
8) Matt Tremont defeated Gary Jay to retain the GCW Ultraviolent Championship. This was a bloody brawl that went all around the ring. They showed each other respect after the match.
9) YDNP and Drew Parker defeated JETSPEED and Darian Bengston when YDNP hit their finish on Bengston. Respect was shown all around after the match, which the crowd went crazy for. Jordan Oliver put Mike Bailey over. Bailey took the microphone and said that talent doesn’t equal success, but maybe it can, one day, with the help of the fans.
Also: There was also a Backwoods Brawl YouTube Exclusive match between Beastman and Bam Sullivan that was released earlier in the week. I believe they showed it during intermission.
