Overall, I think Triple H is a good - not great - booker. However, WWE is presenting the first-ever two night SummerSlam, which could have meant up to 14 matches. How do they not have space for Bayley, LA Knight, Penta or Carmello Hayes? There are others I could mention but at least Priest vs Black was on SmackDown and the Judgment Day defended their tag titles on Raw.
I am the wrong person to ask about that because to me, a six match show that runs 3.5 hours is long enough for me. As I type this on Sunday morning, I don’t know how long tonight will go but to me, anything over four hours is too much so I am fine with 12 matches over two nights.
I’ve been a TNA fan since the beginning- through all the highs and lows- and I feel like now, ironically after all they’ve been through, it’s starting to lose my interest because it’s feeling like another NXT feeder show. I’m assuming TKO is gonna buy it but, if not, what’s the endgame with the WWE stuff?
TNA is definitely flirting with going the route of Smoky Mountain Wrestling in that they had better be careful not to make their talent looking secondary to the NXT wrestlers. As I have said before, I think it’s time that the TNA Titles go back on TNA wrestlers but I don’t make that call.
Has there been any word on a second season of WWE Unreal?
It has been renewed for a second season.
So Uncle Dave took to Twitter last night to say that a lot of people owed him an apology because Seth Rollins cashed in the briefcase last night. Apologies for what? He both "reported" that Seth's injury was a work and was real. Who would owe him an apology for that kind of waffling? How does this man's mind work?
I gave up trying to figure out how his mind works when I saw a picture of his office. Anyone who could live like that thinks in a way that I will never understand.
So was Seth Rollins really injured or was it a work all along?
All we can do as an outlet with integrity is report what we can verify. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, they treated Rollins’ injury as an injury. He did go to Birmingham, AL. Did he actually get an MRI? I can’t say but he said on The Rich Eisen Show that he did get one and that it was inconclusive. If it was a work all along, very few people were in on it and the company also worked the talent and employees. That is a slippery slope, for sure, but as HHH has stated on WWE Unreal it’s hard to keep secrets in 2025 so if it ends up Rollins was never hurt, he chose to work almost everyone in order to do the segment at SummerSlam. In any event, we report what we can confirm and don’t throw maybe scenarios out there so we cover our rear ends.
