8/1 NJPW G1 CLIMAX RESULTS FROM KAGAWA, JAPAN

From Kagawa, Japan:

1 - Katsuya Murashima and Shota Umino vs. Shoma Kato and YOSHI-HASHI

Umino pins Kato after a running lariat.

2 - Taiji Ishimori and Drilla Moloney vs. Rocky Romero and Konosuke Takeshita

Ishimori forces Romero to tap out to the Bone Lock.

3 - Jado and El Phantasmo vs. Daiki Nagai and Shingo Takagi

ELP hits a UFO on Nagai and gets the pin.

4 - Hartley Jackson and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Jakob Austin Young and Great O-Khan

Jackson hits the Jagged Edge on Young and gets the pin.

G1 Climax 35 B Block Matches:

5 - Callum Newman vs. SANADA

Newman hits Princes Curse and gets the pin.

Callum Newman has 6 points.

SANADA has 4 points.

6 - Ryohei Oiwa vs. EVIL

Oiwa has to struggle through all the House of Torture tricks.   Hartley Jackson comes to the ring to assist his teammate.   EVIL traps Oiwa in the Darkness Scorpion.   Oiwa taps out.

EVIL has 8 points.

Ryohei Oiwa has 6 points.

7 - Boltin Oleg vs. David Finlay

Oleg hits an F5, but Finlay kicks out.  Oleg goes for a Kamikaze, but Finlay reverses into a cradle and gets a pin.

David Finlay has 4 points.

Boltin Oleg has 6 points.

8 - Taichi vs. Yota Tsuji 

Really good match.   Tsuji hits a Gene Blaster, but is too tired to make the cover.  The crowd is chanting for Taichi.  They get to their feet and Tsuji hits two knee strikes.   Taichi kicks out at two.  Tsuji goes for the Malo Crash, but Taichi hits Tensho Jujihou.   Taichi hits the Dangerous Backdrop.  Tsuji kicks out.  Taichi hits Black Mephisto.   

Taichi pins Tsuji.

Taichi has 6 points.

Yota Tsuji has 8 points.

9 - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Yuya Uemura

Good match.   The crowd behind Tanahashi in this match.   Tanahashi hit two Slingblades.  Tanahashi hits Aces High, but misses a High Fly Flow.  Uemura hits his own High Fly Flow but Tanahashi kicks out at two.   They trade elbows.  Uemura goes for a cross arm breaker, but Tanahashi reverses into a cradle.  Two count. Tanahashi with a Dragon Suplex.  Two count.  Uemura hits the Deadbolt Suplex.    Uemura pins Tanahashi.

Yuya Uemura has 8 points.

Hiroshi Tanahashi has 4 points.
