WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, who set the spark for the WWF National Expansion in the 1980s, passed away today at the age of 71, PWInsider is sad to report.
We are told by multiple sources that Hogan had what was described as a "massive cardiac arrest" earlier today. He was rushed to a local hospital in Florida but they were unable to save him.
Hogan's passing was first reported by TMZ. PWInsider.com had been monitoring the situation this AM after we learned Hogan was taken to the hospital via ambulance.
Obviously this is a major breaking story and we will update over the course of the day. We send our deepest condolences to Hogan's family, friends and fans.
